Finca Los Nuno is a gorgeous, rural, four-bedroom villa with a private pool sleeping up to 8 guests close to Montes de Malaga National Park. Set high on a hilltop plateau above the city of Malaga, with panoramic mountain views, this is a perfect base to explore this beautiful region of Andalucía. Set on nearly eight acres of land, this pretty, Spanish-style villa is reachable by a long gravelled track and will give you a real taste of the true Andalusian lifestyle, with the nearby village of Olias having only one bar and shop!
Private and secluded, the villa is typically Spanish in style with whitewashed walls, shuttered windows, cool terracotta tiles, and colourful soft furnishings. The large open plan living area is great for watching TV, using the Wi-Fi, or catching up on the big squashy sofa and statement chairs. If the evenings get cooler, there’s a lovely log burning fire to cosy around, and the separate dining room offers plenty of space for fabulous feasts. The kitchen, boasting granite worktops and a breakfast bar, is well equipped with all the mod cons, including an oven, grill, microwave, washing machine, dishwasher, fridge and freezer.
All four bedrooms are spacious, airy and bright, and enjoy the benefit of air conditioning. There are three delightful double bedrooms with King sized beds and a further flexible twin bedroom, an ideal mix for families or groups of friends. There are two modern bathrooms, both with a bathtub and shower.
The property’s outside space is glorious; a vista of incredible natural beauty surrounds Finca Los Nuno, with only the sound of birds to disturb the peace. A sizeable, inviting rectangle swimming pool (11 x 5 m) is set on a large terrace, perfect for long lazy sunshine days. The adjacent shaded relaxation space is furnished for al fresco dining or relaxing with long cool drinks. Barbecue time will be a lot of fun using the Spanish-style open kitchen with a large brick-built barbecue, and the beautiful expansive garden is absolutely perfect for fun and games!
An additional bonus is the beautiful inner courtyard; Spanish tiles decorate the walls, and you can relax in sumptuous outdoor seating whilst keeping cool under sun sail shades, making this a perfect retreat for sunny days and balmy evenings. Finca Los Nuno is secluded and private, with nearly eight acres of land on the edge of the Montes de Malaga National Park. Sitting on a hilltop plateau high above Malaga, you can enjoy majestic mountain scenery and feel close to nature, with just the birds and wildlife for neighbours up in your lovely hideaway. The Montes de Malaga Natural Park is just 2km away and is 130 km² of unspoilt beauty. With beautiful Pine forests, wonderful walks for all levels and mountain biking trails, it is teeming with birds of prey and wildlife. The park is uninhabited to maintain its beauty and is a fabulous wilderness to explore.
The road to Colmenar through the park is known as the “Road to Heaven” because of the fantastic views across to the mountains and is very popular with cyclists. La Vuelta a España annual cycle race takes place near the villa and a common sight is seeing enthusiastic cyclists tackle the mountain/hill routes up from and down into Malaga.
The lovely, authentic village of Colmenar is 16 km away from the property. It has a good selection of local shops, bars and restaurants, and the pace is slow and relaxed; mules are still a common form of transport, and you get a real taste of the true Andalusian lifestyle!
A drive down the hills will take you to a different world, the unmissable city of Malaga and the lovely urban beaches. Malaga is a wonderful mix of old and new and is a culture vulture’s delight. Your ‘must see’ list should try and include Castillo De Gibralfaro, The Cathedral of Malaga, Roman theatre Alcazaba, and the Museo Picasso Malaga. However, there is so much to see and do; you might have to visit again! The Port of Malaga is a glamorous seaport with shops, restaurants, and bars. Although it is one of the oldest ports in the Mediterranean, the superyachts and high rise buildings give it a real modern twist. A fifteen-minute drive east of Malaga is Playa del Palo. This is a lovely, vibrant, clean beach away from the tourist trail. There are great amenities and it’s very popular with the locals, who come to sample the fabulous fresh fish restaurants serving perfectly cooked seafood.
