The interior is spacious and welcoming, with large sliding glass doors that allow in plenty of light and make the flow of indoor to outdoor living seamless. The beautiful open-plan living room/diner is decorated in shades of dazzling white for a clean, contemporary feel and is furnished with lush green houseplants, a chunky wooden dining table for enjoying indoor family meals, and a plush, smokey grey corner sofa – perfect for sinking into at the end of a long day. The living space features a flatscreen TV for your entertainment, and the whole villa has a WiFi connection, allowing you to stay in contact with family and friends who weren’t lucky enough to join you!
Villa Blanes offers plenty of space for preparing meals for the whole group during your stay, with a well-equipped kitchen complete with a stylish breakfast bar – a great spot for sitting and enjoying a morning coffee or for keeping the designated cook company while they rustle up something delicious. All of the amenities you would expect can be found here, including high-quality integrated ovens, plenty of cookware, crockery and utensils, and ample storage and food preparation space.
Guests staying at Villa Blane have the choice of three beautiful bedrooms, all elegantly decorated in the same clean, fresh style as the rest of the villa, with crisp linens and modern wooden furnishings. There are two double rooms and a twin, all complete with ample storage space, flatscreen TVs and incredible sea views. The villa also features five spacious bathrooms with shower facilities for your convenience – so there should be no queues for getting ready in the morning!
Stepping out onto the terrace, guests will discover a fabulous private pool overlooking a pretty bay – perfect for splashing about with the kids or enjoying a relaxing and cooling swim before breakfast! Alfresco meals can be enjoyed in the outdoor dining space, with a barbecue grill ensuring that you can cook up a tasty feast to enjoy while taking in the fabulous sea views.Vila Blanes is located in a quiet and beautiful location near Ciutadella, which guidebooks often refer to as ‘Menorca’s prettiest city.’ The former island capital is a great base for day trips to the local beaches and other highlights of the island and is famous for its historic harbour, street art culture and gentle buzzing nightlife. The pastel-hued streets make a refreshing change from the typical white-washed towns of the region and are dotted with little shops and delis where you can pick up some local produce to enjoy back at the villa. Excellence Luxury Villas recommends heading down to the marina during your stay, where you’ll find a variety of cafes and restaurants serving up delicious fare to suit all tastes and budgets, as well as offering spectacular views.
From the harbour, you’ll be able to book boat trips to explore more of the coastline – including a full-day trip lunch and a unique swimming and snorkelling experience on a 10-metre wooden sailboat. It’s worth knowing that highly-rated and affordable trips are incredibly popular, so it’s worth booking early so that you don’t miss out!
Lovers of history and architecture are sure to want to visit the city’s 14th-century cathedral during their stay, especially as it’s considered an absolute must-see for anyone visiting the city. Built atop an old mosque, the cathedral is one of the most beautiful on the island, bursting with light, decorative elements, and beautiful stained glass windows that create colourful patterns on the stone when the sun streams through. Guests should note that the entrance fee includes access to the cloisters – so be sure to hold on to your ticket once you’ve entered the cathedral. Admission for children under the age of 12 is free, and ‘appropriate dress and behaviour’ is required, as the cathedral is an active place of worship.  
Playa Cala Blanca is the main beach here, a golden sandy stretch that is a fabulous location for enjoying some of the best sunsets in the Med and a great spot for spending a day soaking up the sun. The beach is popular with families thanks to its warm, calm, clear waters, soft sands, and amenities that include sun-lounger and umbrella hire, as well as with those who love to snorkel!
