Ski-in ski-out chalets with chefs and spas, from Les 3 Vallées and the Espace Killy to Mont Blanc and the Portes du Soleil
As featured in
The French Alps have more of the world's great ski areas than anywhere else: Les 3 Vallées, the Espace Killy, Paradiski, the Portes du Soleil and the Mont Blanc valley are all within a few hours of Geneva, Lyon and Chambéry. France also invented the purpose-built ski-in ski-out resort, which is why so many French chalets have the piste at the door.
Our French Alps collection runs to 1,000+ chalets, from grand catered chalets in Courchevel 1850 and Val d'Isère to family chalets in Les Gets and Morzine, with many offering pools, spas, cinema rooms and staff.
Here is a guide to choosing a resort, with links to each one.

Les 3 Vallées links Courchevel, Méribel, Saint-Martin-de-Belleville, Les Menuires and Val Thorens across around 600 kilometres of pistes. Courchevel 1850 has the grandest chalets in the Alps and a remarkable concentration of fine dining, while Méribel, in the central valley, is the classic base for skiing the whole area.
Chalets here range from family houses in the lower villages to ski-in ski-out palaces with indoor pools and full staff.

Val d'Isère and Tignes share the Espace Killy, one of the highest and most snow-sure ski areas in the Alps, with glacier skiing and a season that often runs from late November into early May. Val d'Isère is a real village with superb restaurants and après, while Tignes puts the lifts outside the door at around 2,100 metres.

Chamonix is the mountaineering capital of the Alps, home of the first Winter Olympics and starting point of the Vallée Blanche, while Megève, a short drive away, is the most elegant village in the French Alps, created as a ski resort by the Rothschild family in the 1920s. Both are around an hour from Geneva.

Morzine and Les Gets, about an hour and a quarter from Geneva, are favourites with families and plug into the vast Portes du Soleil. Further south, Alpe d'Huez is known as the island in the sun, with high, sunny slopes and one of the longest black runs in the Alps. Our concierge can help match the resort to your group, and arrange transfers, ski hire, lessons and lift passes.
