Chalets in Espace Killy

High, snow-sure and named after a legend

The Espace Killy links Val d'Isère and Tignes in one of the highest and most snow-sure ski areas in the Alps, with around 300 kilometres of pistes and two glaciers, the Grande Motte above Tignes and the Pissaillas above Val d'Isère. It takes its name from Jean-Claude Killy, who grew up in Val d'Isère and won all three Alpine gold medals at the 1968 Winter Olympics.

Our Espace Killy collection runs to 70+ chalets, from grand catered chalets in Val d'Isère to ski-in ski-out chalets in Tignes.

Here is a guide to the two resorts.

Val d'Isère

A real village with serious skiing

Val d'Isère is a stone-and-timber village with excellent restaurants, lively après and some of the finest chalets in the Alps. The Face de Bellevarde, built for the 1992 Olympic downhill, rises straight above the village, and the off-piste is legendary.

Tignes

Altitude and lifts at the door

Tignes is made up of several villages around a lake, with Tignes Le Lac and Val Claret at around 2,100 metres. The Grande Motte glacier above gives reliable snow from autumn to spring, and many chalets are ski-in ski-out.
