Casa Buckley is a traditional stone-built villa situated in the beautiful countryside. It’s between Pollença and Alcudia offering you a peaceful holiday, where you can visit two beautiful old towns with ease and come back to a relaxing villa. The exterior of the villa is a stunning explosion of green, and the property has a well-kept lawn area in addition to the hedges, resulting in private grounds and security for your guests.
The villa benefits from a spacious living area with comfortable sofas making it a wonderful centre point to your holiday, you can gather here and enjoy the television and DVD player if you’re interested in winding down together.
The living area leads through into the dining area where you can enjoy the delicious cuisine cooked up, and in the early and later season stays you can do all of this in front of the open wood fire which will create the perfect atmosphere for you.
The kitchen is fully equipped with all the modern necessities, including a washing machine so if you are on a lengthy holiday or if you have young kids prone to making messes, you can make use of the washing machine to clean your items.
The bedrooms are a mixture of twin rooms and a double bedroom. The double has an ensuite shower room, and the three twin rooms share a full bathroom on the upper floor. The bedrooms have beautiful exposed beams and benefit from bright walls and plenty of light. On the ground floor, there is another bathroom, this one has a large walk-in shower. All the bedrooms benefit from air conditioning capabilities also.
Outside there is a large covered terrace with outdoor dining furniture as well as a seating area perfect for dining out under the sun or stars or spending time outside with some shade on your side; there is also a stone-built BBQ area which you’ll be able to make use of while you’re staying.
These areas have amazing views of the pool that has roman steps entering the pool. It is surrounded by sun loungers which will offer excellent chances for catching a tan in the Mediterranean sun. Alcudia is one of the most visited destinations in Majorca, with its history, charm and gothic revival architecture. It has plenty of magnificent, scenic sandy beaches for you to explore stretching several kilometres giving your party ample space to explore, some even offer great places to snorkel (not all of the beaches that can provide this activity will have the equipment to hire).
For the families or the kids at heart, there is the Alcudia Hidropark with a water golf course, water slides and pools. You may also pursue the streets of Alcudia for their open-air street markets and sample the food they have to offer.
Alcudia is not the only stunning place to visit nearby; you have Cala Sant Vicenc – home to three beautiful beaches, as well as Pollença just along the coast. Pollença is an alluring town, at the base of the Tramuntana mountains, which is the largest natural reserve on the island, well known for its beauty and scenery. It was recently declared a World Heritage site, and the mountain range offers spectacular views and is a wonderful destination for hikers, cyclists and even bird watchers.
Pollença is also rich in history with the famous Calvari steps which are a 365-step stairway that leads up to the chapel on the top of the hill known as Calvary. It is also home to a Romanesque 19th-century bridge that is shrouded in mystery, as no one knows for sure its origin.
