Binibeca Margarita Spain

Luxury Villas
| 5 Bedrooms|

Rental Description

Drawing inspiration from the magical ocean views, Binibeca Margarita has seaside-themed details all around the villa. There’s an expanse of outdoor living space, from the spacious lawn to the furnished porch area. An aquamarine swimming pool is shaded by a white wall for optimum shade and privacy, while a stone fortification-style wall surrounds the property. Take a cooling swim and enjoy the sunshine on the loungers by the large pool.

The villa blends traditional whitewashed exteriors with a modern grid design, with pillars and a fabulous sundeck. Head here for the best views of the ocean and to soak up the Balearic sunshine. Enter the villa to find the silver spiral staircase leading up to the bedrooms. There is a beautiful dresser with a wooden feather-fringed mirror, gilded seashells and fresh flowers. The attention to detail in the interiors of this villa creates a truly calming atmosphere.

Floor to ceiling windows creates a bright and airy space, decorated in white with splashes of seafoam blue and green throughout. The living room has large white plush sofas and dark wood furniture, with eye-catching art installations on the walls. A hessian-style patterned rug adorns the floor – it’s such a relaxing space to unwind. Watch a movie on the flat-screen television or curl up with a good book on the sofas.

Just beyond this area is the well-equipped kitchen, decorated in a sleek monochrome style with a glossy central island. There’s plenty of prep space to whip up delicious family feasts and an American fridge to keep all your supplies. There is an elegant glass dining table with black ‘frame’ style chairs or alternatively a rustic wooden table out on the terrace. Barbecue enthusiasts will be pleased to know the villa is equipped with one.

The bedrooms are fresh and minimal, yet designed to facilitate an excellent night’s sleep. All rooms have ensuite bathrooms, walk-in wardrobes and some rooms have their own private balconies to enjoy the views. There is a mixture of double and twin beds, with a capacity of 10 guests. Marble tiles add a fresh, stylish touch, while green plant-themed cushions add a pop of colour. Sea-style ornaments like starfish and sand-filled glasses enhance the relaxed atmosphere.

This villa is situated in Binibeca Vell, a captivating remodelled fishing village with limestone houses, just 500m from a gorgeous beach. Popular with local and international holidaymakers and with a charming, family-friendly atmosphere, Binibeca was tastefully restored in 1972. Menorca itself is a more relaxed island for a family holiday compared to its neighbours Majorca and Ibiza. However, that doesn’t mean Menorca is without a plethora of things to see and do.

Made up of winding streets with a small commercial centre, Binibeca is located at the southeastern tip of Menorca close to its capital, Mahon. There are plenty of restaurants and bars, where you can try some Menorquin delicacies like lobster stew, baked squid or octopus and sobrassada – paprika-spiced sausages. Xoriguer gin is the local beverage to sample, and there is a world-renowned distillery by the harbour, Mao.

Definitely, worth the 20-minute trip, the harbour of Mao is a 2km stretch lined with cafes, art galleries and boutiques. A great souvenir would be some locally-made avarcas sandals, as Menorca is known for shoemaking. Descend the steps of the harbour to spot luxury yachts and visit the gin distillery.

Binibeca beach has picture-perfect white sand with the sparkling sea, set against a backdrop of cliffs and lush pine forest. In the Binibeca area, there are also four other smaller coves – Biniancolla, Binisafuller, Biniparratx and Binidali. The area is also famous for diving, especially among a shipwreck. Snorkelling and kayaking are also popular activities at Binibeca. However, there are great beaches all around the island, since Menorca has 216km of coastline.

Check out the Calas Coves, with its swirling shades of blue water framed by cliffs, just 17km from the villa. The coves have a mystical quality beloved by many. Alternatively, visit the island’s best-kept secret, Cala Escorxada, which can be accessed by a one hour hike from Santo Tomas. Follow the coastal route to be rewarded with pristine sands, dazzling turquoise water and far fewer people than other beaches in the area.

For a thrilling experience that showcases the best of Menorca’s wildlife, look no further than Jeep Safari Menorca. Local guides take groups of passengers in 4x4s around the backroads of the island, spotting flora and fauna. It’s a great opportunity to learn more about local life and the animals that inhabit the island. Menorca was made a Biosphere resort in 1993, which ensures that its natural beauty is protected. Menorquin people take exceptional care of their island and its biodiversity.

To get a great view of the island, head to El Toro, Menorca’s highest peak. To reach the top, there is a moderate 2 hour hike. The magnificent panoramic view will definitely be worth it. From here, adventurous guests can enjoy the unique way to see the island – paragliding above it. Glide in tandem with an experienced instructor back to the ground.
