Villa Bernie Spain

Luxury Villas
| 3 Bedrooms|

Rental Description

Located near Cala Colodar, with views of the Cap de Bou and Illa s’ Espartar beyond, is the modern and comfortably furnished single-story, fully air-conditioned, Villa Bernie.  The villa is coolly furnished with white-washed or cream coloured walls and marble-style tiled flooring throughout, to give a light and airy feel.  The accent of colours can be found in the carefully chosen furnishings paintings and decorations that can be found around the home.
The Open-plan Living/Dining room is bright and yet simply furnished with an L-shaped purpose-built white-washed stone-rendered base, covered with soft-cushions that serve as the sofa. It is adjacent to the open fireplace built in the same way, and can be enjoyed on a cooler autumn evening.  TV, DVD and Wifi Internet access are available for the use of the guest.  In the opposite corner of the room is the dining table with chairs. The furniture, window panes and shutters are all made with same dark coloured wood as the kitchen units.  In the kitchen the subtle traditional Spanish tiles line the walls, along the work surfaces; and whilst this gives the impression of a very traditional Spanish kitchen, it comes fully equipped with all the mod-cons including a dishwasher and coffee maker for your convenience.
The three bedrooms, including the twin bedded room are all sparsely, yet comfortably furnished.  The Master bedroom enjoys the convenience of a private shower room; and the other two rooms share a bathroom.
As you step through the patio doors leading to the outdoor space at the back of the house, it is clear to see the efforts that have been made to maximise this area, so that you are able to fully experience the ‘Al Fresco’ lifestyle.  There is a purpose-built white-washed stone-rendered fully functioning BBQ with an outdoor dining table, from which to enjoy typically long family lunches.  At the very centre of this space is the breathtakingly amazing eternity pool, that melts into the Cap de Bou.  There are plenty of comfy loungers surrounding the pool, should you wish to just settle with a good book and a chilled glass of vino Blanco.Tucked in between the municipalities of Eivissa (to the east) and Sant Antoni (to the west) lies the municipality of Sant Josep de se Talaia and includes the parishes of Sant Jordi, Sant Agustí and es Cubells, all of them quiet picturesque Ibizan little villages with beautiful churches to wander around and admire, at leisure.
With nearly 80 Kms of coastline on offer, some of the most beautiful coves in this area (like Ses Salines or Cala Vedella), or visit the many quaint fishing villages set in their own remote coves (like Sa Caleta and es Xarco), are very much worth exploring.  Modern life has encroached very little in these fishing villages, and life goes on as it has done for many years.
It is a magnificent landscape with Ses Salines Natural Park incorporating 1,786 hectares which are made up of salt flats, beaches, wetlands, dunes and forests.  The Natural Park is home to hundreds of species of birds perfect for bird enthusiasts; and offers a multitude of scenic walking/hiking routes for those who like to explore by foot, including around Sa Talaia.  Sant Josep mountain is the highest woodland-point standing at a height of 475 meters.  It dominates the island and offers the best 360° views.
The rocky island out-posts of Vedrà & Vedranell, as well as the Islotes de Poniente (islets) are official Nature Reserves.  Vedrà & Vedranell are full of classic myths and legends, including the one where it is believed that the entrance to the lost land of Atlantis, is located.  Whether you are exploring the rocky islands with their abundance of migrating bird species, on foot; or scuba-diving off their coast to explore the marine life, make sure not to use up all your energy, as this region has much more still yet to offer.
This region has some very interesting archaeological sites like the Punic-Roman settlement of Ses Païses de Cala d’Hort; or the Phoenician village of Sa Caleta’s (founded in 7 B.C.) by the first settlers on the island has been designated a UNESCO World Heritage.
