This lovely villa is so welcoming. With two bedrooms and a sofa bed, it can take up to 6 guests and is really suitable for a family or some friends. It is so child-friendly, but at the same time, it is a great party villa with its special stand-alone bar in the garden. When you arrive at Villa Marraxia, you will feel like you are in the middle of the splendid countryside as you are surrounded by fields, lawned gardens, olive trees and stunning views of the dramatic Tramuntana mountains. It is such a great location to chill and get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. In fact, though you are just a few minutes walk for the bustling medieval walled old town of Alcudia, so you really do have the best of both worlds! Villa Marraxia is very special. You can see so far in the garden. The pool is lovely, next door to the fully equipped pool bar which has a small fridge and a coffee maker and lovely comfortable seating. You can even order 30 litres of draft beer before you get there! It is such a perfect spot to sip a refreshing drink and watch the sun go down behind the breathtaking mountain range. Sun loungers await and there is a lovely outdoor dining area for alfresco dinners in this lovely location. Children will be delighted with the outdoor playground. The villa is so welcoming inside with its warm, Mediterranean coloured stucco walls, comfy sofa and lovely furnishings. The living, dining and kitchen area is open-plan with lovely views from the windows and doors. The master, double bedroom is wonderful and atmospheric with its feature stone wall, as is twin-bedded, bedroom 2. They share a wonderful bathroom with a walk-in shower. You will feel so secluded and peaceful at Villa Marraxia. Just outside the attractive walls of the old town of Alcudia, you are actually surrounded by gardens, fields and beautiful scenery towards the mountains. Alcudia Old Town is so romantic and charming with beautiful architecture, Romeo and Juliet balconies, narrow cobbled streets, authentic, quaint cafes, unique little shops, incredible restaurants and tapas bars and its colourful open-air market. The Roman museum and Roman ruins just outside the walls are very interesting.
Port Alcudia is about 5 minutes away with its breathtaking Blue Flag 3 km beach, picturesque marina and many cafes and restaurants. Paddle boats, snorkelling, windsurfing, jet skiing and paragliding are all available. Fun excursions run from the marina including day trips to Menorca, dolphin watching tours and glass-bottomed boats. Just east of Alcudia Old Town at Playa de Muro you can take SUP paddling boarding or even yoga classes on the boards! A lovely day out and a change from the stunning beaches are a trip to Valldemossa. Situated in an idyllic valley in the midst of the incredible Tramuntana Mountains, it is steeped in old-world charm with picturesque streets sprinkled with shops, art galleries, cafes and restaurants. Its ancient stone houses contrast markedly with the lush green forests and the brilliant blue sky above. There are many trails marked from here into the forests. There are quite a number of vineyards and wine tastings around Mallorca. Bodegas Can Vidalet at Pollensa and Bodega Butxet are a couple of them close by. The local wines are delicious and go so well with the local tapas.
