Recently remodelled by an award-winning interior designer, Villa Candileja is no ordinary, contemporary, glass box villa. This 300-year-old authentic finca has been restored with imaginative flair, and nothing spared, creating a warm, luxurious atmosphere. The original honey stone walls and wooden Sabina ceilings blend perfectly with both contemporary and traditional furniture and state-of-the-art kitchens and bathrooms. The space is inspiring, contemporary, comfortable and makes you feel thoroughly indulged. With 5 bedroom suites, including a family suite, this gorgeous villa sleeps up to 12 guests.  Villa Candileja is situated high on a hillside, close to San Juan, in a very private setting. The views of the surrounding countryside and towards the sea are dreamy. You will feel far away from it all and instantly relax in the magical ambience.  The living areas are open plan by design, an eclectic mix of contemporary and traditional, oozing warmth and charm. There is a fabulous, bright dining area with exposed stone walls and modern art, a charming snug area, a fantastic, stylish, modern kitchen and a cosy lounge area that leads onto a stunning, covered alfresco lounge area with swirling, comfortable sofas.  Most of the bedrooms are situated around a beautiful Moroccan patio with pretty mosaic tiles and a central fountain. They, and the bathrooms, have been completely remodelled into peaceful, high quality havens with air conditioning and glorious linens. The master suite boasts a kingsize bed, an incredible freestanding bath and an ensuite shower room. The impressive, oversized, hand-carved headboard and mirror look amazing against the trendy lighting. Bedroom 2 is accessed from the outdoor lounge. Again, it is splendid in its restoration. The beautiful windows frame the fabulous view, and the ensuite bathroom is beautiful, enjoying modern amenities in a completely charming way. There is separate access to the dreamy family suite, which is comprised of one bedroom with a double bed, another with twin beds and a fireplace, an atmospheric outdoor shower area and an ensuite shower room. The twin bedroom leads to a private outdoor terrace with an astonishing heated spa pool. What a fantastic family suite! The fourth bedroom boasts a double bed and another excellent ensuite shower room. Bedroom 5 is a separate annexe with a double bed, ensuite shower room and a lovely private terrace.  No less beautiful are the outside spaces. The wonderful swimming pool is surrounded by beautiful lounge furniture on sun-drenched terraces and shady spots. The mature trees do a wonderful job in creating picture-postcard vistas and offering unique shady spots. The panoramic views of the lush green hills and the Mediterranean in the distance are stunning. The pool house has a fully equipped summer kitchen with barbecue, gas grill, dishwasher and a huge stone table, easily seating 14 guests. It is ideal for long alfresco dinners at home. The garden is vast, boasting many peaceful, romantic, hide-away nooks and crannies.  Villa Candileja is certainly the perfect getaway for multiple families or an extended family. It is close to some spectacular beaches and a fantastic dining and entertainment scene. Villa Candileja is situated in the north of the island, very close to the gorgeous village of Sant Juan, otherwise known as Sant Joan de Labritja. It is 23km north of Ibiza Town, so no distance at all. The village comes alive in June for the famous Fiesta de Sant Joan. The countryside around Villa Candileja is beautiful, and there are stunning views of the sea from the villa. It offers good access to some gorgeous sandy beaches and secluded coves.  Portinatx is a wonderful family-friendly resort. It is the most northerly point of Ibiza and boasts three lovely beaches and a selection of restaurants and shops. It is surrounded by dense forest, and there are lots of lovely coastal trails. The 10km cliff walk from Portinatx to Cala Xarraca is pretty challenging, but worth it for the views. You can take some outstanding boat trips from Portinatx, where you will enjoy the coastline’s hidden gems and enjoy a variety of watersports. The sunset cruises are amazing. The golden sandy bay of Cala Xarraca is very popular with locals who know the hidden spots and can reach it by sea. It is much less built-up than the beaches of the south and boasts a fabulous, crystal-clear turquoise sea that makes you want to get straight in and not get out again! There are natural mud baths formed that are supposed to do wonders for the skin. It is also rocky in places, so excellent for snorkelling. Other lovely coves are Cala Sant Vicent and Benirras.  Ibizkus Wines of Santa Gertrudis opened in 2007 and produced excellent red, white and rose wines with local Monastrell, Syrah, Tempranillo, Macabeo, Malvasia Grec, Parellada and Chardonnay grapes. The cellars are situated between the villages of San Rafael and Santa Gertrudis. They offer visits to their cellars and wine tastings every day except Sundays.
Ibiza’s Old Town and the trendy new marina are fabulous nightlife destinations for their swanky bars and world-class restaurants. Ibiza Town is incredibly diverse. It is romantic, historical, intriguing, vibrant and cosmopolitan. The most famous of the nightclubs is Pacha, where clubbers flock to listen to the famous DJ sets and dance the night away.
