Chateau Correze sits high on a hill in a magnificant location overlooking the medieval town of Beaulieu sur Dordogne. It enjoys stunning views over the valley and surrounding hills.
Beaulieu, literally meaning “beautiful place”, is about 3km away and offers a comprehensive range of shops, bars and restaurants.
There is much to do in this area, there are many arts and culture festivals, markets, canoeing on the Dordogne, fishing, golf and horse riding. There are also many famous caves and grottos, as well as ancient Chateaux.
Located at the crossroads of the Dordogne, Corrèze and the Lot, medieval towns and villages are abundant and include Rocamadour (37km), Château de Castelnau-Bretenoux (11km), Collonges-la-Rouge (22km) and Turenne (32km).
Gourmet dining and everyday needs are available in nearby Beaulieu (3km) as are fishing and canoeing on the Dordogne.
Regular flights are available from London City to Brive – Vallée de la Dordogne Airport (45km).
