Furygan Get Down Motorcycle Boots

In recent times I’ve taken to wearing more casual riding gear. Riding in casual gear is more comfortable than race boots and full leathers but still offers good levels of protection.

For the last few thousand miles, I’ve been mostly wearing Furygan Get Down boots. These look like trainers or basketball boots, they are waterproof but breathable, have reflective sections and cool Furygan branding.

Furygan has reinforced the heels and toe area and there’s a gear shift abrasion-resistant zone. Inside the boot, around your ankle, you’ll benefit from D3O protection too.

These Furygan Get Down boots don’t look like motorcycle boots so they can easily be worn off the bike when you reach your destination. Often, motorcycle boots are pretty obviously biking boots and can be uncomfortable to walk around in. These are as comfortable to wear as a regular pair of trainers and look great with the Furygan branding on the side.

Mine are black, with white laces (also came with black laces), a white logo, and white soles with black accents. There’s a small orange D3O tag and the inside of mine is black. Furygan offer these in a few different colours; Black/Red has black outer, red inner, red accents on the sole, black velcro strap and a white Furygan logo. Black/Brown has black outer, black inner, brown accents on the sole and a brown velcro strap with a slightly less bright white Furygan logo, then there’s Black which I have. These have a black outer, black inner, black velcro strap, white accents on the soles and a white Furygan logo.

Furygan is a quality brand so these boots are excellent, as you would expect. I’ve worn them in all sorts of weather on all sorts of bikes. For example, on the Hayabusa, they were excellent, with its higher footpegs necessitating a higher degree of flex around the ankle. As I write this I have the BMW R18 cruiser and these boots work well with the more feet forward riding position. You really can ride all day in these boots.

I have fairly wide feet, so I often find boots tight across the front. These Furygan boots have a wider fit so perfect for me. You have 5 lace holes on either side and a velcro strap around the top. I actually snapped a lace recently so will be replacing them with heavier laces. I’ve worn these boots a lot and have done a good few thousand miles in all weather. I’ve probably just been a bit heavy-handed when tightening the laces.

Another Interesting point about these is that the soles have worn really well. Previous casual boots I’ve used seem to have softer material in the soles, meaning they wear very quickly when you walk around. Because these are so comfortable I’ve worn them a lot and have done a fair few miles on foot. The soles have lasted very well.
