Chateau d’Aleny France
Holiday Home Rental Description
The Chateau d’Aleny is an amazing 18th Century property located on the southern side of Beaune in Burgundy. It has recently been fully refurbished by famous designers who mixed a luxury contemporary touch with antique furniture. It was named by CNN among the top ten best wedding venues worldwide.
The Chateau d’Aleny is ideally suited for weddings, holidays and corporate events. Its location amidst the vineyards is also very convenient for wine tasting tours. The perfect time for visiting Burgundy is April to October but the brand new heating system makes it truly comfortable if you come in the cold season.
The Chateau d’Aleny offers huge indoor spaces of 1,500 sqm and 40 hectares (100+ acres) of outdoor space. The Chateau can accommodate 30 guests and larger groups for weddings and other events. The Chateau is a child-friendly place and high-speed Internet access is available throughout the property. You can also enjoy many sports from biking to horse-riding to waterskiing.
The lovely roman-style chapel is the perfect place for weddings and receptions can be hosted in the gardens or indoors depending on the number of guests. A wedding planning service is also available to facilitate logistics (dinner, decoration, flowers, photos, videos etc). Please contact Excellence Luxury Villas VIP Concierge Team for more information.
The chateau is situated close to Beaune and the world famous Cote d’Or vineyards. There are plenty of farms, food stores and markets close to the Chateau so it is very easy to source good produce.
The ever expanding and knowledgeable “Welcome Book” reveals all the local treats (organic products from local farms, fine restaurants) and must do’s (wine tasting, sightseeing, sports etc). Wine tasting courses can also be arranged onsite with a professional oenologist as well as cooking classes.
There is plenty to explore in the area, including a beautiful 17th Century Chateau at Pierre de Bresse, the vineyards of Beaune, Dijon – the capital of Burgundy and the Jura to the East, with outstanding restaurants and golf courses. The nearby rivers are also perfect for experiencing fishing or water-skiing.
Paris is 350km away. Driving takes 3.5 hours and the train to Paris takes 2.5 hours. The nearest international airports are Lyon or Geneva (160km). The nearest train station is 12km from the chateau (in Seurre). A mandatory cleaning charge of €500 per week is levied on each booking and should be paid in cash at the end of your stay. This covers the full cleaning of the chateau at the end of your stay.
Full service is mandatory during peak season. Outside the peak season, self-catering is possible (except for weddings) and you can also book the cook and maid service on a per-day or per-meal basis. Full service allows guests to relax from domestic chores: cooking (breakfast, lunch & dinner), table service, cleaning. Pricing depends on the number of guests and requested schedules.
Many other services (babysitting, driver, laundry, chauffeured car rental and limo transportation from and to airport/station), activities (wine-tours, on-site wine-tasting courses, on-site cooking classes) and sports (tennis, golf, horse-riding, water-ski, wake-board) can also be arranged by Excellence Luxury Villas VIP Concierge.
Please do not hesitate to ask for more details. For example, feedback from guests say that the chauffeured car is an excellent option as this allows you to avoid the hassle of driving on French roads and it is cheaper than car rental/train for groups of over 5 people in the same car (a Mercedes mini-van can accommodate up to 7 people + the driver). The chauffeur is at your disposal and can drive you for wine-tours or from/to Paris, Geneva or anywhere you land or go to. For this and other services, contact Excellence Luxury Villas VIP Concierge Team.
