This historic French chateau in the Dordogne, set on ten acres of enclosed parkland near the town of Riberac, is both a wonderful wedding venue and opulent holiday retreat for groups looking to experience one of the most beautiful regions in France.
Built in 1820 for Conte Francois, the restored chateau’s grandeur and elegance extends inside and out – with cozy fireplaces, period furnishings and sophisticated décor spanning throughout its two salons, dining room, bedrooms, and living room.
Ten large bedrooms stretching across the upper floors of the main house boast lovely park views, five of which include en suite baths. You’ll find four additional bedrooms out in the two Gatehouse properties: La Porterie holds three bedrooms and a private patio, while La Taupiniere includes one double bedroom beneath its beautiful high ceilings.
Outside, a BBQ, lovely terrace, L-shaped pool and plenty of sun loungers invite complete relaxation. The park itself will delight with its variety of mature trees, bamboo forest and nearby pond.
Find delicious local fare just 2km from the chateau at La Vielle Maison.
