Only an hour’s drive from Dublin, once the medieval stronghold of the FitzGerald’s, Earls of Kildare, the Castle was built by Hugh de Lacy for one of Strongbow’s Norman Noblemen, Walter de Riddlesford. Today it stands proudly ready to extend a warm Irish welcome to guests from around the globe. It is family owned and managed. From the FitzGerald Suite at the very top of the Castle in the Round Tower, with its free-standing bath and 360-degree views of the estate, to the elegant Lady Elizabeth Suite with its floral patterns overlooking the Killeshin Hills, our Castle bedrooms with marble bathrooms are spacious and just decadent enough to be fun. With views of the River Greese, the Rose Garden, the Courtyard and Golf Course, our Castle is flooded with natural daylight. The Castle is equipped with an elevator for our guests’ convenience.
