Rent Home Russet Anemone Oxfordshire
Holiday Home Rental Description
After spending a day in the exciting city of Oxford, with its heady mix of history, architecture, and dining, you can return to serene surroundings in just thirty minutes by car. The Oxfordshire countryside is beckoning you home – but not without its luxury offerings. This delightful cottage is hidden within the charming village of Little Tew. It feels beautifully isolated, but is only a couple of miles from Soho Farmhouse, Blenheim Palace and Diddly Squat Farm. With views over fields and gardens, it is a perfect retreat for couples of families wanting to be in nature, with country walks on the doorstep. Traditional masonry and timberwork make up the exterior, with an array of lush green foliage and lawns creeping up the sides and framing the entrance. A gate leads to a kitchen garden that supplies the cabin guests with vegetables, honey and dahlias in the summer. Inside, the modern, sophisticated decor looks fabulous beneath cream wood-slatted walls and a vaulted wooden ceiling. We love the idea of getting cosy on the elegant velvet sofa, with a roaring fire. In the rustic kitchen, a generous welcome package that includes honey from their own hives and produce from local farms. You’ll find everything from English fry-up ingredients, to luxury toiletries, snacks, wine, gin and tonic, and even fresh juice made from the host’s apples. Mix up a cocktail to take out to the private garden on a balmy afternoon – is that barbecue ready yet?
