Positively oozing with old school Hollywood glamour, the house was originally built in 1927 by an Academy Award-winning actress as her ballroom, where she entertained the likes of Charlie Chaplin, Judy Garland and Clark Gable. If only the walls could talk here. The ballroom, which today is the main living space of the home, really is astounding, with 25ft ceilings and gorgeous arched windows, which look out onto the delightful garden. Recline on a sun lounger with a martini and gaze over at the beautiful, glimmering pool or fire up the barbecue and enjoy an alfresco lunch at the table with stunning views over LA. If you prefer to eat out, Hollywood Boulevard is just a fifteen-minute walk away. Or, a twenty-minute stroll will take you to the Walk of Fame – see if you can spot some of your home’s previous guests here.
