Who knew that a stay on a golf course could warrant such beauty? We certainly didn’t until we came across this home, which wouldn’t look out of place on the pages of an interior design magazine.
Set on PGA West in California, this sprawling casa pays homage to Mexico with whitewashed walls, wicker interiors, and earth-toned furniture. There are a lot of picture-perfect corners, from the stand-alone bathtub, perfect for long soaks, to the granite waterfall island counter in the chef’s kitchen.
Despite the sense of serenity, the home has plenty to play with – all led by design, of course. There’s the outdoor marble ping pong table, a distressed wood pool table, and a swimming and spa pool that glitters in the Californian sunshine. Dine alfresco on the patio before lighting the fire pit to keep warm as you watch the sun set over the dramatic San Jacinto Mountains.
If you can tear yourself away, the spirit of Old California lives on along La Quinta’s Main Street, a five-minute drive away, while the mid-century marvel of Palm Springs is 28.5 miles through the desert, with countless hikes and golf courses lining the route.
