It’s a delightfully modern cabin inside, with vaulted ceilings, glass walls and stunning views of the rugged landscape and neighbouring creek. The carefully curated furnishings fit with the wilderness feel, from the books and board game selection (more than 15 to choose from) to vintage telescope for stargazing and bronze and walnut foosball table. A bubbling hot tub sits underneath a 400-year-old cedar tree, and from the deck, it’s only a few steps into the forest. San Jacinto Mountain’s famous hiking trails (including Ernie Maxwell Trail and Devil’s Slide Trail) plus Idyllwild’s shops and restaurants are both within a short drive away.
