Looking for the USA’s best ski resort? The former mining village of Telluride is considered top-notch by those in the know, thanks to its excellent skiing, glorious views and Wild West vibes. And this majestic home set in the forest at the base of the mountain brings all of these elements together. Step inside and you’ll instantly clock there’s a lot of wooden styling going on, from the beams in the ceiling, the kitchen and bathroom cabinets, those hefty double bunk beds and polished floors. We say it keeps things just as warm and cosy as the crackling fire in the living room. But don’t go thinking this is your usual mountain chalet home. There’s plenty of personality here which keeps things playful – we love the antler chandelier, the light-up ‘T Ride’ sign in the media room and the abstract art on the walls. Outside there’s plenty of seating, a barbecue and a hot tub to soak your weary limbs after a tough day on the slopes.
