Ikos Kerkyra Greece
Holiday Home Rental Description
Ikos Kerkyra is a great property for those wanting to holiday with another family, or bring relatives along. It can sleep ten to twelve people, across the main villa and smaller, separate cottage or annexe. Both properties have been tastefully decorated to a high standard with fresh and gentle colours. It has a light and airy feel, with air conditioning throughout and tiled floors to keep you cool on even the hottest days.
Starting in the main villa, the open plan fully-fitted kitchen is beautifully designed with a sleek and modern finish. With all the mod cons you would expect, it also has the great feature of an antique table which can be a prep area for the cooks amongst you, or a super breakfast spot.
Leading on from the kitchen is the dining area. With room for everyone, it has sea views and large doors that take you straight out to the terrace – it’s just the spot for a lazy lunch, overlooking the pool and sea beyond.
The ground floor is largely open plan, so the dining room flows through to the sitting room. Here are comfortable sofas, a television, DVD player, sound system and wonderful sea views. There are also double doors to the terrace outside.
Up on the first floor is the main sleeping accommodation – with the master bedroom, with en-suite bathroom and private balcony, and a further two bedrooms. There’s another bathroom here, with shower, again designed to a high standard with a sleek and unfussy finish.
Down in the basement is a spacious home cinema room with roomy sofas, television, DVD, sound system and projector. There are twin beds here, and also another bathroom.
Heading outside, you find the cottage – it’s completely separate to the main villa but just a stone’s throw away, and shares the villa’s outside terraces. It’s a great little spot if you want to holiday with another family, or other relatives who might want privacy away from the main house. There are two double bedrooms here, a super sitting room with stunning sea views, and a bathroom. It’s small but perfectly formed, with each room having plenty of space.
The swimming pool’s curved shape echoes the coastline below it – bob about in the pool, looking out across the sea; just the spot to really feel like you’re away from home. There’s a barbecue here, and a terrace with table and chairs, with enough room to seat everyone. You can do your own thing in the day, and meet up in the evening for a relaxing supper with stunning sea views.Katavolos is a peaceful and picturesque village on the northeast coast of Corfu. It is considered by many to be the traditional, ‘real’ Corfu. Nissaki is nearby and means “little island”, once a small rocky island which joined the mainland. It is the perfect spot for those wanting a relaxing stay in a tranquil environment but still having all the shops and restaurants you will need. The horseshoe shaped main beach is made up of white pebbles shelving into clear blue water. Even at the busiest of times you are sure to find a spot here! For those looking to explore Corfu Town itself, it is only a 40-minute car journey away. There is plenty to see and do here for the whole family, including historical attractions, beaches and boutique shopping. At Excellence Luxury Villas we pride ourselves on going that little bit further for our guests.
