Finca Caceres offers a completely different Spanish holiday, a unique experience designed for the most discerning of guests who are looking for a truly memorable stay and exclusive personal treatment. Surrounded by hundreds of hectares of nature in the centre of Spain, Finca Caceres’ farm is immersed in a very special environment within the Comarca de la Vera. It boasts sensational views of the Sierra de Gredos mountain range. With a diverse forest of holm oaks and cork oaks, the home of deer, wild boar, wildcats and blue ducks, you will quickly forget the stresses and strains of everyday life. With the characteristic flowers of the area, the jara, the scenery is absolutely magnificent. With its proximity to the Sierra de Gredos, you will discover mountain goats and many other animals. Many activities are offered including horse riding, hunting, sports such as golf, paddle tennis and swimming plus gastronomy experiences and historical and tourist excursions.
The Comarca de la Vera is the land that Emperor Charles V chose among his vast empire to spend his last days. It has become a popular tourist destination known for its outstanding gastronomy, its fascinating history, its architecture, its wildlife and its beautiful landscapes.
Finca Caceres offers nine beautifully finished bedroom suites, all recently renovated to offer luxurious accommodation to eighteen guests. Each bedroom is stylishly furnished with twin beds next to each other and enjoys characterful features. The ensuite bathrooms are modern and very luxurious. Gorgeous toiletries are provided as well as fluffy bathrobes. In addition to the main house, the guest house offers a further four double suites, each with a stunning, immaculate ensuite bathroom and twin beds. Each of the bedrooms offers spectacular mountain views. The guest house also enjoys its own lounge area and kitchen.
The living spaces of the main house are very elegant in their styling with sumptuous sofas, fascinating artwork and many handpicked accessories. From the main living room, guests enjoys the best views from the finca towards the imposing Sierra de Gredos and the meadows that are home to cows and horses. The living room enjoys a large, atmospheric fireplace, two seating areas, a cards table, a bar and a display of African trophies. The drawing room enjoys a large television, another large feature fireplace, beautifully adorned comfy sofas, a mini bar and a play area. The dining room boasts two large tables that each sit twelve guests. This is an immensely stylish room where guests enjoy a full gastronomic experience cooked by Finca Caceres’ professional chef. Another fireplace ensures warmth and a cosy ambience on cool days. The finca also offers an office should you need to attend to some work.
The grounds of Finca Caceres are incredible. The swimming pool is surrounded by luxury loungers, a pool house and a bar where you can enjoy your favourite tipple while enjoying the Spanish sunshine. The lawns are vast, stretching all the way to the meadows and forests.  
Finca Caceres stables enjoy a fabulous reputation. With four pure Spanish breed horses, riding boots and helmets in all sizes, cowboy saddles and a dressing room, they are well-equipped to offer guests amazing riding experiences. One of the best treats at Finca Caceres is to climb on one of the cowboy saddles and head towards the Jaranda River. You can pass through the forests of cork oaks, ferns and holm oaks enjoying the beauty and aroma. The duration of your ride is flexible but you will discover the most secret spots of the finca. Even if you do not ride the horses, you will enjoy watching them and their foals. As well as horse riding, there are many other activities that can be enjoyed inside and outside the farm. You can enjoy the river beach, discover the amazing fauna and flora of the area, take up some hunting services, visit the Monfrague National Park or enjoy some paddle tennis on the finca’s court. There are many attractive towns and villages to visit.
If you are interested in hunting, assistance can be provided with the necessary procedures for the entry of shotguns in Spain, licenses, permits and insurance plus shotguns can be hired, ammunition provided together with rain boots if necessary plus 4×4 vehicles provided during the hunts. Hunts include those for mallard ducks which are plentiful due to the finca’s two large marshes and Spanish Ibex. During the hunting season from October to February, the finca offers two days of the traditional Spanish ‘monteria’ where guests can shoot wild boar and deers in a driven hunt. Guests can enjoy the pure nature of the estate and its wild life in one of Finca Caceres’ two 4×4 vehicles. You may even see the Iberian lynx, a protected species as well as wild boar, deer and other mountain cats.
Finca Caceres certainly provides an alternative holiday experience. It also boasts a recently restored ancient chapel which can be used for a private or corporate event for up to 80 guests. The finca will certainly result in a very memorable holiday. Finca Caceres is located within the Comarca de la Vera in Central Spain and surrounded by hundreds of hectares of nature. It offers sensational views of the nearby Sierra de Gredos mountain range. The finca enjoys an area of forests, meadows and rivers, the home of deer, wild boar, wildcats and mallard ducks. La Vera is the home of paprika, amazing mountain architecture, historic stories, museums including the Pecharroman Museum and the Paprika Museum in Jaraiz de la Vera and fabulous scenery. At the Paprika Museum you will learn how the pepper is grown, how it is collected, dried and how it came to create its own Denomination of Origin. La Vera’s local dishes include fish mozu, Rin Ran, zorongollo salad, verata soup and some typical sweets including riturcius, almorracas, follos, bishops, frisais floris and perrunillas. La Vera is also famous for its ornithology. The Monfrague National Park is located between Navalmoral de la Mata, Plasencia and Trujillo and is one of the points of greatest ornithological interest in Spain. You can find imperial eagles, black vultures, black storks and large colonies of griffon vultures as well as many other species. La Vera is brimming with gorges and streams that are brilliant for swimming in summer. In total there are 47 gorges and 1423 streams! Some of the beautiful towns to visit include Jarandilla de la Vera, Losar de la Vera and Villanueva de la Vera. Jarandilla is a charming town that only grows more beautiful with time. Its architecture is amazing, especially the house of Don Luis de Quijada and some of its medieval bridges. There are many religious buildings including the San Francisco Monastery and Ntra. Sra. de la Torre Church. The town hosts an incredible festival known as Los Escobazos. The nearby Jaranda Gorge and neighbouring towns of Garganta la Olla are wonderful. You can hike through sensational sections of Extremadura where you will enjoy spectacular scenery and total tranquility. The famous Jerte Valley is a natural paradise of cherry blossoms. The Cherry Blossom Festival is a popular celebration that tries to reflect the life of the whole region, showcasing the area’s culture, gastronomy, traditions and way of life. In the small village of Cuacos del Yuste you will discover the Monastery of Yuste, founded by the Hieronymite Order of monks in 1402. The monastery was the place of retirement of Charles I of Spain and V of the Holy Roman Empire after his abdication. The monastery was terribly damaged during the Spanish Civil war and later restored by Francisco Franco. It is currently inhabited by monks of the Pauline Order and is well known for its beautiful surrounding landscape.  
Golf fans are very happy in this area. Talayuela Golf is just 20 minutes away from Finca Caceres. This sensational course was designed by Seve Ballesteros and opened in 2005. With a meadow of oaks and holm oaks, the course is set in the middle of nature on the left bank of the Tietar River with phenomenal views of the Sierra de Gredos. Activities & Facilities

• Horse Riding At the Finca, one of the best experiences is undoubtedly getting on a saddle and heading towards the Jaranda River. Going through cork oak forests, ferns and holm oaks. Always enjoying the most characteristic aroma of the area, which gives the flower of jara. The client chooses the duration of the trip and we will adapt to try to avoid losing the most secret places of the Finca.• Hunting Hundreds of hectares that have become home to many species in Spain. We found wild boars, deer, roe deer, many different species of birds and our treasure: the blue ducks. The property proximity to the Sierra de Gredos allows our most daring clients to live the experience of a Iberian mountain male, unique in Spain (the hunting services provided will depend on the client’s needs).• Sports Talayuela Golf is only 20 minutes away from Finca Caceres. Padel is a very common sport in Spain, in the Finca we have our own private court. The beautiful Comarca de la Vera is a place full of gorges and streams for sightseeing in summer with endless possibilities for a swim.• Gastronomy Spanish cuisine is highly appreciated and recognized throughout the world. Near Finca Caceres are some of the most recognized restaurants on the national scene and are the perfect destination to live a gastronomic experience.• Corporate Events Finca Caceres has recently restored an old chapel just 50 meters from the house to make it the optimal space for private or corporate events, adapted with all facilities that may need up to 80 people.

There are many excursions and things to do in the area within walking distance of Finca Caceres.
• Comarca La Vera We find the famous Jerte Valley, a natural paradise full of vegetation and cherry blossoms. In addition to a historical and cultural wealth in each town and every corner, under the supervision of the Monastery of Yuste and the authenticity of its people.• Cherry Blossom Festival Located in the small village of Cuacos del Yuste, we can find the Monastery of Yuste founded by Hieronymite Order of monks in 1402. Awarded with the European Heritage Label, the monastery was the place of retirement of Charles I of Spain and V of the Holy Roman Empire after his abdication where he lived until passing away.• German Cementery of Cuacos de Yuste Many of the German soldiers, aviators and sailors of the First World War and Second World War are buried there, who arrived on the Spanish coasts and lands due to shipwrecks or the demolition of their planes.• Castillo de los Condes de Oropesa The castle can be historically divided into two parts. The Arabs built up the old castle on the tenth century and there are still several remaining’s of the original castle such as its towers.• Photographic Safari Discover our estate and enjoy pure nature and wild life in one of our two 4×4 vehicles. The area is the home of deers, wild boars and mountain cats. The luckiest ones may also enjoy the sightseeing of an Iberian Lynx, a protected species due to its low population.• Ornithology The regions of La Vera and the Jerte Valley are home to a unique set of species that inhabit within the Extremaduran community, with the best regional representation of forest and mountain birds. The proposed route consists of a 22 km vehicle journey between Cuacos de Yuste and the port of Piornal and a 5 km walking route to the Peña Negra de Piornal. • Monfragüe National Park The Monfragüe National Park, located between Navalmoral de la Mata, Plasencia and Trujillo, is one of the points of greatest ornithological interest in Spain. In this wonderful environment you can find the imperial eagle, the black vulture, the black stork and large colonies of griffon vultures among many other species.
