Rental Description

Get back to nature and feed your soul with a stay at The Treehouse, located in the beautiful Yenice Vadi (New Valley), in the province of Mugla, near the Turkish Turquoise Coast. The Treehouse is organically designed using only natural materials, sourced from the adjacent forests and lots of local stone. The Treehouse is one of your childhood imaginations, built on stilts of natural stone and strong stable tree trunks.
There is parking as part of the destination, and the accommodation comes with complimentary Wi-Fi and air-conditioning throughout. The living space is open plan, with one large double bed, and a large sofa that can accommodate a third person, ideal for a couple sharing, a small family, or a honeymoon retreat with a difference. The seating area is a comfy L-shaped natural wood sofa with a plethora of lightly coloured duck egg blue cushions, and a handmade coffee table, facing a flat screen television, a Bluetooth sound system, and a stone enclosed log fireplace for the cooler evenings. An adjacent wood kitchen is fully equipped with everything you will need to self-cater for your holiday, including a gas hob, fridge, and a dishwasher, and a convenient breakfast bar. The king size bed is beautifully dressed in crisp white linen and contrasting turquoise accessories. There is a separate shower room with a WC and wash basin. Step through the floor to ceiling doors to an outdoor living area where we are sure you will be spending most of your time. Enjoy alfresco dining on the local organic produce at a hand-crafted wooden table with four chairs, overlooking the valley with the mountains as a backdrop. Cool off in the stone-built step entry open air jacuzzi, before enjoying a sundowner or two at the adjacent soft seating chairs, positioned around a firepit on the patio.
The Treehouse was the original inspiration for Yenice Vadi, a return to traditional Turkish village life, a vacation in nature, surrounded by magnificent mountains, olive, pine, and almond trees, centred around a natural lake, with farm animals running free, birds and butterflies fluttering by, and organic fruit and vegetables to hand pick from the branch or vine. When you stay at The Treehouse you can enjoy all of these bountiful benefits. Starting with breakfast, don’t fancy cooking your own, no problem, enjoy an alfresco Turkish buffet breakfast at the boutique hotel; too far to walk, don’t worry, you can have it served in your room. Lunch and dinner can be taken in the restaurant, but if you’d prefer to cook yourself, then help yourself to the organic fruit and veg grown on site and in the greenhouses. Yenice Vadi is open all year round, in the cooler months take shelter indoors where there is an open fire to keep you cosy.
There’s no need to shop for provisions as everything is available for a healthy holiday, and if you don’t know how to rustle up a dish Turkish style, well they’ll teach you that too with their complimentary by appointment cooking classes. Work off all that healthy eating with a yoga or Pilates class in their dedicated studio, there’s nothing better than doing a sun salutation as the sun rises. Fancy a dip, there’s a beautiful natural lake, take a wonderful walk around it and absorb the atmosphere, before treading the boards of the wooden pier to an in-built large dedicated central swimming area, the perfect place for a few lengths before breakfast, or a cooling afternoon swim in the hot summer sun.
The Treehouse is nestled in the valley of Yenice Vadi, a unique back to nature, village life complex, close to the village of Yenice, in the heart of the province of Mugla, near Turkey’s Turquoise Coast. Yenice Vadi is equidistant from two international airports, both Dalaman and Bodrum are a one hour fifteen minute drive through the verdant Turkish countryside to your destination. You can pick your own fruit and veg, and dine in the Yenice Vadi’s restaurant, but if you want more provisions, the small village of Yenice is just a short five minute walk away, with a few mini markets and manavs to cater for your holiday needs.
Locally there’s lots of walks in nature through the indigenous flora and fauna, take a hike up the mountains, or follow trails that will take your through traditional Turkish villages, where you can sample the simple life, sip a glass of apple tea in a shady garden, or sample a gozleme pancake handmade by the ladies of the house. Should you wish to ever leave the idyll that is Yenice Vadi, which many guests don’t, there’s lot to see and do within a comfortable driving radius. It’s a tale of two destinations when you stay at Yenice Vadi, a thirty minute drive inland will take you to the major town of Mugla for a taste of Turkish commercial life, worth going on a Thursday, when there is a large local market, visit the Graeco-Roman museum full of Ottoman artefacts, before a stroll around the quaint old quarter and get a good scrub at a traditional hammam.
Drive thirty minutes south to the coast where you will find the holiday hot spot of Akyaka, where the Azmak River meets the Mediterranean Sea. The pine timbered, fishing village of Akyaka is home to the nearest family friendly white sandy beaches. Famous for its fabulous cuisine, whilst you are there enjoy eating freshly caught seafood by the seashore, admire the old houses with wooden balconies festooned with flowers, or take a boat trip to the Bay of Gokova, with the Sakova Tepe mountains as a beautiful backdrop. The major town of Marmaris is just under an hour’s drive, to what was once a tiny fishing village, now home to a thriving tourist industry, it has a pebbly beach for sunbathing and swimming in the cool clear Mediterranean, a lovely long promenade for a stroll along the sea shore, great scuba diving facilities, brand label shops, bustling markets, a choice of cafes, restaurants and bars, and a very lively nightlife.
Further afield the town of Bodrum is a two hour drive away, situated on the south Bozburun coast, boasting the Museum of Mausolus, one of the original seven wonders of the ancient world, and Bodrum Castle founded by the fifteenth century Knights Hospitallers. Bodrum has a natural harbour full of fishing boats and day trip gulets, a marina mooring some of the world’s biggest and best super yachts, not to mention the Museum of Underwater Archaeology. Dalyan is definitely worth a daytrip, a one hour fifteen minute drive away, take a trip down the Cayi River, past the Lycian tombs, and the ancient city of Kaunos, to Iztuzu Beach, home to the famous hatching Caretta Caretta turtles. No trip to this area of Turkey is complete without a visit to the must-see ancient city of Ephesus, a slightly longer two and a half hour drive, but well worth the journey to see one of the world’s most exceptional historical and fascinating archaeological sites.
