Wow! Location! Location! Location! This little gem is situated in a privileged position overlooking the stunning Cardigan Bay and Poppit Sands. The uninterrupted sea views are absolutely spectacular. You may even spot dolphins jumping out of the water! With three comfortable bedrooms sleeping 6 guests, this lovely coastal holiday home is a wonderful spot for those that love the outdoors. You are just minutes away from some of the best coastal walks in Wales and a short drive from the delightful, ancient town of Cardigan.  The entrance of Poppit Cottage is as striking as the views! With high apex windows, the light floods in and welcomes you to this spacious retreat. The living space is open plan in design with warm wooden floors throughout. Comfy sofas await that gaze at the large seascape canvases that adorn the walls. There are two dining areas, so you have your pick of where you want to eat. You may even choose outside! The kitchen is very cheery in bright red with large appliances, perfect for the cook to prepare some delicious holiday meals. There is also a handy utility room with utilities and space for all your beach gear.   Upstairs, you will find three double bedrooms. The master bedroom enjoys a kingsize bed, breathtaking views of the Cardigan Bay and an immaculate en-suite bathroom with walk-in shower. The second double room also boasts stunning panoramic vistas with a double bed. The last bedroom offers comfortable twin beds though these can easily be pushed together if desired. The bedrooms are all very spacious and feature wooden beds and wooden floors. The large picture windows ensure that this house is light and airy, not to mention making the most of the views. There are three well-maintained modern bathrooms in total, with a mix of showers and baths.  Outside you have plenty of space. There is a front lawn with a lovely contemporary water feature and a rear garden with an open terrace and alfresco dining. You really will come away with wonderful memories of this holiday home location and plenty of stunning photographs! Poppit Cottage boasts an incredible location overlooking the fabulous Cardigan Bay and the glorious Poppit Sands. It is just a few minutes drive to Cardigan, and you are very close to the invigorating and spectacular Wales Coast Path. The path is well established with clear signing and awe-inspiring walking, especially from Cardigan to Borth. This incredible path offers such a variety of walks including seaside saunters along the fronts of coastal towns and villages, literary trails such as the Dylan Thomas Trail around New Quay, delightful strolls along country lanes bordered with ancient hedgerows full of wildflowers, invigorating walks across wild headlands enjoying stunning views of the rugged Cardigan Bay coastline, challenging mountain hikes in the remote uplands of the Cambrian Mountains or slow riverside rambles along the Teifi, Aeron Rheidol and Ystwyth valleys. If you want to walk certain parts of the path and don’t want to drive, you can take one of Cardigan Bay’s useful little buses. Cardigan Bay also boasts some amazing cycle routes so you may want to bring your bikes. You can hire some from New Image Bikes, Cardigan if you do not want to take your own.  Cardigan is the gateway to the stunning landscape of the deeply wooded Teifi Valley as well as the coastal paths. This gorgeous ancient town sits on the estuary of the River Teifi where you can kayak and canoe. At 79km it is one of the longest rivers in Wales, starting at Teifi Pools high up near Tregaron. The section from Llechryd Bridge to the mouth of the river at Poppit Sands is tidal, so it makes a wonderful half-day canoe trip if there is enough water. It is easy to check the tides. It is also very popular with anglers as it is ranked as one of the best sea trout rivers in Europe. There is an abundance of wildlife, including otters.  Cardigan’s unspoilt townscape and rich heritage are wonderful. You will find a thriving culture of arts and crafts, events and music festivals. Cardigan was the county town of the historic county of Cardiganshire. Now it is the second largest town in Ceredigion, with Aberystwyth being the largest. Cardigan is such a good base to discover Ceredigion and also Pembrokeshire to the south.  Along the Cardigan Bay, you will find miles of tranquil, unspoilt coastline including secluded, quiet coves, award-winning beaches, towering cliffs decorated with early summer flowers and jewel-like islands with clear water perfect for the visiting dolphins, porpoises and seals. The National Trust’s Penbryn Beach is gorgeous and definitely worth the hike from the car park. Tresaith Beach is very popular for its waterfall that cascades over the cliffs. Aberporth Beach offers the best of both worlds. It is stunningly beautiful, and there are pleasure boats, sailing boats, kayaks and canoes. You will also probably see fishermen unloading crate after crate of giant spider crabs and other sea fish. You will find rock pools exposed at low tide, and the clifftop walks boast extensive views as far as the Lleyn Peninsula. Bottlenose dolphins are frequently seen close to shore in Aberporth, hence the fabulous wooded carving overlooking the beach.
