Surrounded by greenery and tucked in the heart of the region Istria, lies Casa Belle. With three bedrooms within, the outside of the villa is stonework, blending the property into the landscape and giving it a rustic charm. Although, it is not without the modern luxuries.
Thoughtful details have been added within the property to make you feel at home the minute you walk in. Pictures hang on the wall, cushions on the sofas, and ornaments fill shelves. Your family will feel like they are in a home away from home while staying here.
It will be hard not to relax in the gardens of Casa Belle. Surrounded by greenery with your private garden to enjoy, it centres around steps leading down into a circular pool with sun loungers ready for you to put your feet up. A comfortable outdoor seating lies under a pergola, giving more space to enjoy the sun’s rays. Stepping towards the villa is a covered outdoor dining table seating eight guests underneath the first-floor balcony. Enjoy an alfresco dining experience with the sun set- you will all love exchanging stories of the days adventures.
A double set of doors leads you to the ground floor of Casa Belle. Wooden beams stand overhead while tiled terracotta flooring cools your feet underneath. The ground floor has high ceilings in every room, making the villa feel spacious and well-lit. From the patio, you walk into a cosy lounge with crimson couches, a large stone fireplace and a flat-screen TV. The lounge has a rustic charm which continues to the other family rooms. From the lounge you can walk straight to the dining room. A wooden table seating eight guests on high-back fabric chairs centres the room. Off the dining room is the kitchen. A spacious room with wooden cabinets, high ceilings and a central island breakfast bar with seats to create a social space while cooking. The kitchen has all appliances you would need for your stay including, an oven, microwave, blender, kettle, toaster, dishwasher and, more importantly, a coffee maker.
Upstairs you find all three double bedrooms with ensuites. As you get to the top of the stairs, the landing leads you to a balcony, with two cushioned egg chairs to relax in to. An inbuilt cover is overhead allowing you to enjoy cool shade on a hot day or enjoy the fresh air as the rain comes down.
The bedrooms are spacious and filled with homey furniture and décor. White walls and beamed ceilings run throughout the first floor. Adjoining ensuites have dual sinks, baths or showers plus, basic toiletries and a hairdryer for you to use. Air-conditioning flows through the first floor so you can sleep no matter how hot the summers get. For the newest member of your family, a cot is available upon request.
Casa Belle is also surrounded by a wall, securing the grounds and reassuring parents their little ones cannot go too far while still being able to enjoy the garden. With everything you could need in one place, it is the perfect base for the ultimate family holiday in north Croatia.
Casa Belle is located in a northern region of Croatia called Istria. A beautiful region of the country, it is filled with an abundance of history and adventures for the whole family to enjoy together. From the villa, the nearest villages are scattered between the neighbouring hills. Tinjan is a picturesque village near Casa Belle and is full of character, home to a population of less than two thousand. Take a stroll down the streets, admire the quaint buildings with greenery entwined between the walls and get a sense of rural Croatia. Your local café and grocery store are only five km away from the beach and the city centre of Poreč is nine km.
Along the west coast, Poreč is a town not to miss. With stunning views of the Adriatic sea and a maze of cafes, restaurants and shops beneath the terracotta rooftops, you will love seeing this town for yourself. In its old town, the 6th-century Euphrasian Basilica architecture is renowned for its gem-studded Byzantine mosaics. UNESCO has made this collection of early Christian and Byzantine architecture on its World Heritage List- making it a must-see.
If you are seeking new heights and adventures, Casa Belle is near Učka national park, filled with hiking trails, canyons, waterfalls and historic architecture. The views from the top of the mountains are some of the best overlooking the North Adriatic Sea. Within this region, you can rent quad bikes to explore more of the local area in a way you may never have before.
The city near Casa Belle is Pula. With a long tradition of wine making, fishing and shipbuilding Pula is filled with Roman architecture and surrounded by a beautiful natural landscape. The roman architecture includes the temple of Augustus Cathedral, the Roman Forum, City Hall and impressively, a amphi- theatre. The street beneath the terracotta rooftops is a maze of cafes, restaurants and shops waiting for you to discover. Due to its conflicting past, there are many forts in and around Pula for you to explore.
Along the coast of Istria, there are plenty of things to do. The whole family will love submerging into the underwater worlds, and discovering fish and other under water creatures. Scuba diving is also available along the coastline for those who want to take their adventure to the next level. Kayaking tours are a great way to see the landscape- and an experience you can do all together. Or take a day trip and hop on a ferry to Cres, an island filled with secluded bays and coves. The rocky coast encircles the island while ancient forests help to fill the land. Heavily influenced by the Venetians, Cres town is the main point for civilisation. Many say it mimics an Italian town which you can see for yourself as you wander through the quaint streets, absorbing the years of history. Delve deeper and explore the clear waters surrounding the island with snorkelling.
