Pull up a lounger on the stone jetty out on the water and unwind with a backdrop of tree-clad hills beyond the sea. Perhaps the infinity pool is more your style, on the raised terrace for maximum sea views. The long outdoor dining table can provide space for the whole group and a wrap-around balcony on the first floor offers a secluded space to sunbathe. Crossing the threshold into the living room, you’re not indoors, not really when you’ve got glass sliding doors that blend inside with out. So you can still hear the sound of the sea from the plush velvet sofa or while cooking in the gourmet kitchen. Bedrooms are gloriously spacious with slate-grey tiled floors keeping you cool underfoot, and the master is beyond lavish with its own rooftop terrace, living room and even kitchen. Should you want to spend the day doing something other than lounging by the ocean (and we wouldn’t blame you if you didn’t), Dubrovnik, with its stunning old town, is just a forty-minute drive along the coast.
