Perched on the south coast of Korcula island, this brand new villa almost slips away into the crystal clear Adriatic Sea. There’s nothing between the terrace and the rocky outcrop that leads to the sea and a set of stone steps lead down to the waterfront. You’ve got beautiful ocean views from every corner of the outside space and the gardens and terraces are layered like a cake. Just above sea level, there’s a sunbathing deck, then a huge swimming pool terrace with outdoor dining and loungers and sofas galore. The grounds are surrounded by olive groves and citrus trees.
Inside, each sleek corner feels like witnessing a new exhibition in a modern art gallery. Sparkling white marble floors keep things cool underfoot (though there’s underfloor heating for winter too) and a proud display of object d’art from across the globe and vibrant paintings sit against gallery-white walls. The huge double-height lounge has atrium-style windows to let in the sea view, and there’s a classy hang-out space on the mezzanine balcony above. Each bedroom comes with its own private balcony or terrace, so there’s no need to draw straws.
