Nestled in the delightful location of Podstrana, between Split and Omis, the wonderful Villa Aleena offers stunning, contemporary accommodations for eight guests. It is brilliantly designed with four dreamy bedrooms, three bathrooms, a main open-plan living space, a second summer kitchen and living space next to the pool, a covered barbecue kitchen and a gorgeous terrace with a pool. The villa enjoys superb panoramic views of the shimmering Adriatic Sea, the islands, and the town of Split. Guests only have to walk 200 metres to the pretty pebble beach of Podstrana.  Podstrana is located in a beautiful part of the Dalmatian Coast, with easy access to these historic towns and the thrilling Cetina River. You will enjoy dazzling sunsets from this heavenly spot. Podstrana is a small town comprising five villages, including Gornja Podstrana on the slopes of the Perun Hill, Strozanac, Grlevac, St Martin and Mutogras. The landscape is stunning with mountain peaks, crystal clear, azure seas, 6km of gorgeous beaches and the banks of the River Zrnovnica. Podstrana is an elite, prestigious suburb of Split’s popular, historic town.  Villa Aleena enjoys marvellous outdoor space. It’s generous 10m x 5m swimming pool is surrounded by sun loungers, perfect spots to enjoy your holiday books and the Croatian sunshine. At one end of the pool, you will discover a smart summer kitchen with a giant fridge freezer, a small lounge area, a small trendy dining table and a large television. All in white, it is a very light and airy space. A wall of glass doors slide back to completely open this area to the pool deck. Next to this is a covered but open shower and separate toilet, very handy to have besides the pool. At the other end of the pool, guests can dine alfresco under the shade with gorgeous sea views. The barbecue masters amongst you will be thrilled with the covered barbecue area with a sink where you can prepare delicious feasts. Around the corner, you will find another wonderful area with perfect sunset views and delightful lounge furniture. It is a lovely spot for pre-dinner drinks.  The main living area is another dazzling white space with a gorgeous glossy white kitchen, a stylish dining area that looks out to the sea, and a very comfortable living area with three white leather sofas, a flat-screen television and Playstation 4 for the young ones. One of the bedrooms is also on the ground floor with a comfy double bed, television, access to the pool deck and an immaculate ensuite shower room.  A modern staircase takes you upstairs to the first floor, where you will find the remaining three bedrooms. Two bedrooms boast sumptuous queen-size beds and a balcony with stunning sea views, and the other offers a kingsize bed, a sofa bed for one guest and a balcony with sea vistas. One of the rooms with a queen-size bed enjoys a smart ensuite shower room, and the other two share a family bathroom, again with a shower. You will undoubtedly appreciate the villa’s contemporary architecture, amazing light and gorgeous furnishings. When you leave the villa, you will experience a wonderful Croatian adventure enjoying watersports, walking via Ferrata if you are brave enough, cultural trips and river adventures. You will also be spoilt for choice with delicious cuisine and amazing wines. Villa Aleena is located in the popular town of Podstrana. The famous Old Town of Split is 10km to the west, and the historic, pretty town of Omis and the magical Cetina River are roughly 13km to the east. It is a fabulous location for a holiday packed with adventure, stunning scenery, gastronomic delights and relaxation. Active guests will be delighted with the golf and tennis just close to the villa in addition to the watersports available on the beach, hiking, biking and all sorts of thrilling activities on the Cetina River.  Split is a very attractive seafront gem combining honeycombs of intricate historical buildings, including the wonderful Diocletian’s Palace, with a cosmopolitan, palm-sprinkled promenade offering tourists a fabulous vibrant holiday experience. The town’s atmospheric, narrow streets are brimming with ancient monuments, charming restaurants, cafes, bars and a good variety of shops. Split oozes a laid-back vibe. The main city beach, Bacvice, is both a perfect place to relax during the day and a popular night-time jaunt in the evening. You can easily take trips to the stunning islands of Hvar, Vis and Brac from Split. Popular with the rich and famous, Hvar is glitzy and boasts a marina full of luxury yachts. Brac is beautiful and home to the famous Zlatni Rat Beach at Bol, which adorns most Croatian holiday posters. Vis is a gorgeous, remote, craggy island with a laid-back rural vibe.  Omis, 13km along the coast, is known as the City of Pirates. It is situated at the mouth of the Cetina River and is home to many churches, the 13th-century Fortress Mirabella and the 15th-century Fortress Starigrad. The town is known for its delicious gastronomy and boasts outstanding restaurants serving fresh, locally caught fish and smoked ham. Shopping is excellent in Omis. The town’s Klapa Festival during the summer is good fun with Capella singing in churches and squares in the old town, plus there are some amusing pirate displays. Flowing from the Dinara mountains, the Cetina River is action-packed with an awesome zipline, canyoning, river tubing, rafting and kayaking. You can even rent see-through kayaks so that you can explore flora and fauna when you are paddling down the river. Thrilling rafting takes place in the northern part of the river, where there are exciting rapids and challenging waterfalls to descend. White water rafting takes place in a section of 10km starting north of Kuciceand passes one of the prettiest beaches, Stuzica. The rafting ends in the village of Blato na Cetini, which is a great lunch stop. Canyoning is not for the faint-hearted! Expert guides will help adventurous guests plunge into newly discovered rocky areas and clear waters, swim underneath powerful waterfalls, flow down naturally formed chutes and jump into emerald pools. The bravest can abseil down the 56m high Gubavica waterfall, providing the most exhilarating and unforgettable experience. Paragliding is also very popular, with instructors taking younger visitors on tandem flights.  On the other side of Split, you can visit another gem, Trogir. This wonderful walled city boasts historical buildings such as the Cipiko Palaces and St. Lawrence Cathedral. In the evening, everyone leaves the knotted, maze-like marble streets and gravitates to the graceful promenade lined with cafes, bars, restaurants and luxury yachts.
