The sensational Villa Byron is located in the delightful village of Gata, 1.3 miles inland from the Adriatic Sea and the atmospheric town of Omis. At the foot of the mountain Mosor, visitors enjoy scenic vistas of the majestic mountains and a feeling of getting away from it all. Gata is very close to the wonderful Cetina River and all of its thrilling activities.
Villa Byron is a contemporary gem with 5 bedrooms sleeping up to 10 guests. One of the bedrooms is a bunk room, ideal for children. This idyllic setting offers guests privacy and tranquillity where you can enjoy a dreamy holiday. This is one special villa with fabulous entertaining space inside and out. Open plan in design, the living spaces are elegant and smart with modern furnishings. The kitchen dazzles with its feature wall, brightening the otherwise neutral colour scheme. Huge glass doors open to the terrace and garden. Also on the ground floor is a huge bathroom with an excellent sauna. What a treat! Throughout this villa, you will find striking splashes of colour and bright features. There is an additional cloakroom with a washing machine.
The bedrooms are all on the first floor. With wooden floors and comfy beds, they are all minimal in design and extremely comfortable. Three of the bedrooms feature kingsize beds and have access to a wonderful balcony with pool views. The fourth bedroom boasts a queen-size bed and beautiful mountain views. The last bedroom has a jolly bunk bed with a small double on the bottom and a single top. This is a very colourful and cheerful room which children love. The bedrooms share two outstanding family bathrooms, one with a bath and the other with a shower.
The outside space of Villa Byron is spectacular. You will not want to leave even though this area of Croatia has so much to offer! Fabulous outdoor furniture makes this a gorgeous, elegant haven to enjoy peace and sunshine. Surrounded by palm trees and including a wonderful 12m x 6m swimming pool, a jacuzzi under a fabulous canopy and surrounded with comfy seating, an outdoor lounge, a magnificent fully equipped contemporary outdoor kitchen with a huge barbecue, a bar, shaded alfresco dining and a playground for your youngest, the entertainment space is quite remarkable. Don’t forget your holiday read as the outstanding sun deck is waiting!The views of the tropical palms waving gracefully, the majestic mountains and towards the village, the Fortica Fortress in Omis and the sea are astounding. Everything about this villa is of high quality and makes you feel thoroughly indulged.
Gata village is only a 10-minute drive to a sandy and pebble beach, the magnificent Cetina River and the charming town of Omis. Gata offers a completely unspoiled setting where you have complete privacy. The nearest mini-market is within walking distance. Larger shops and an outstanding dining scene can be found in Omis. Omis is known as the ‘Pirate Town’ due to its location at the Cetina River’s mouth and its history of pirates. The Omis Riviera is often thought to be one of Croatia’s best-kept secrets. The scenery is incredibly dramatic, with sharp, jagged mountains all around, contrasting beautifully with the turquoise sea. For a small town, Omis certainly packs a punch with ancient buildings and churches such as the 13th-century Fortress Mirabella and 15th-century Fortress Starigrad, also known as Fortica Fortress, the Omis Summer Festival, gastronomic delights and charming streets where you can wander and enjoy it all.
The incredible Cetina River is very close to Villa Byron. The river offers an intoxicating, action-packed adventure with an awesome zipline, canyoning, river tubing, rafting, canoeing and paragliding. Just north of the village of Kucice, you can ride in giant inflatable doughnuts and descend the small river rapids or further north, and you can enjoy a family adventure of white water rafting. The bravest can buckle up and fly across the river on the ziplines. You can rent see-through kayaks to explore flora and fauna. Paragliding and canyoning are also popular with expert guides. You can certainly have an exhilarating and unforgettable experience on the Cetina River!
The stunning town of Split boasts incredible architecture, fantastic shopping and delicious food. The Diocletian’s Palace is a notable landmark built in the 4th century containing a military camp, the magnificent Golden Gate and a villa where the Roman emperor Diocletian retired. You can climb the bell tower of 7th century Saint Domnius Cathedral for an incredible view. Contrasting with the intricate historic buildings is the fabulous Riva, the town’s pedestrian walkway lined with restaurants, bars and palm trees.
Zlatni Rat Beach on the island of Brac is one of Croatia’s best beaches and adorns many Croatia posters. The island is blessed with stunning scenery and is famous for its very attractive white stone. The White House in Washington is made from Brac stone. Brac is also famous for its ‘buhavica’ olive oil, cheese, wine, honey and wine. The Stina Winery on the waterfront at Bol is delightful. You should try the Prosec, a little like Australian muscat. It is delicious!
