You can’t come to Croatia without taking to the water, and there are boat tours aplenty, as well as opportunities to enjoy a fish and picnic day tour. Sibenik is a famed historic city and the third-largest city in the Dalmatian region. It offers plenty in terms of history and culture, and there are many landmarks to feast your eyes upon. The central church in Sibenik is the Sibenik Cathedral of St James, which is listed on the UNESCO World Heritage list.
There are also many fortifications, including the fortress of St. Nicholas, an imposing mass of rock found on the island of Ljulkevac. The three remaining fortresses are St. Michael’s Fortress, located in the historic town centre, St. John Fortress and Barone Fortress. Each offer uniquely beautiful views of the sea and surrounding area.
If you prefer nature to culture, you can explore the Krka National Park, where you’ll find waterfalls, historical remains, and intriguing flora and fauna.
