Villa Lorelai is located in the small, tranquil village of Grubine which is six kilometres from Imotski and twenty three kilometres from the beach. It is a wonderful location where you can get away from it all yet quickly explore the beauty and attractions of this stunning country. Nestled in the unspoiled nature of the Dalmation countryside and Makarska hillside, this wonderful, spacious gem is truly relaxing. The historic town of Imotski is famous for its stunning lakes and thirty minutes away, the gorgeous Makarska Riviera is blessed with beautiful beaches.
Throughout Villa Lorelai you will find sumptuous, contemporary furnishings, gorgeous colour splashes against its neutral toned walls, wonderful art works and fantastic design features including floor-to-ceiling glass, a double height aspect in the dining area and a cool seating area above on the mezzanine level. With a wonderful array of entertainment spaces, there is always somewhere quiet where you can disappear with your holiday book or to enjoy a glass of your favourite tipple. There is privacy for everyone as well as excellent areas for the whole group to make memories. Young ones are not forgotten with the children’s playground, a shallow section in the pool, a pool table, table tennis and table football as well as a wonderful garden and terrace.
Interior designers have worked wonders on the open plan living space. The kitchen is sleek and stylish with the very best of appliances and a marbled island that matches the dining table. Guests can perch on pink velvet stools keeping the chefs company while they cook a feast in the top-notch kitchen. There is an American style fridge freezer and a large wine fridge amongst the appliances. Not only that, there is an exceptional outdoor kitchen too! Guests also enjoy access to a very good laundry space. The dining area is elegant and tasteful under a wonderful hanging light and the double height aspect. Beyond this is a superb living space with designer sofas, a fabulous contemporary fire and an enormous wall-mounted television.
The villa boasts five outstanding bedroom suites. Every guest staying at Villa Lorelai will be delighted by their stylish haven. Each room enjoys a sumptuous, lavish kingsize bed which is beautifully dressed with luxury linens, gorgeous throws and scatter cushions. There are trendy wardrobe and dressing table arrangements and televisions in the rooms. Floor-to-ceiling glass doors drown the rooms in natural light and offer access to wonderful balconies. The bathrooms are totally luxurious with the very best of fittings. You will also discover your fabulous indoor sauna, a wonderfully indulgent spot.
The outdoor spaces of Villa Lorelai are equally lavish. There is an excellent swimming pool which is surrounded by luxury loungers and the hot tub, another special treat. The shaded outdoor kitchen and alfresco dining space is absolutely fabulous with an excellent range of equipment. It is complete with a stove and its own dishwasher. Villa Lorelai is just brilliant for all ages. It is very sociable and at the same time guests can find quiet corners and many relaxation spaces. It is a dreamy, luxurious property that will leave you will magical holiday memories. Villa Lorelai enjoys a very peaceful location in the village of Grubine, six kilometres from Imotski, a small town on the northern side of the Biokovo massif in the Dalmation hinterland. Imotski boasts eleven incredible lakes, famous wines, fantastic cuisine and stunning scenery. The Imotski lakes are a breathtaking natural attraction. Imotski’s Red Lake is the deepest lake in Europe and the Blue Lake is a favourite bathing spot in the area. Its unique blue colour is spectacular. Overlooking the Blue lake is Imotski’s fortress. In summer, the fortress walls become the backdrop for music recitals and theatre performances. Swimming, hiking, walking and cycling are all popular in Imotski. The 100km Ciro biking trail from Dubrovnik to Mostar was launched in 2017. Imotski makes a great starting point and the 60km from Imotski to Mostar is nearly all downhill. Imotski boasts an excellent array of restaurants where diners enjoy delicious local cuisine and amazing local wines. In the vineyards of Imotski and the surrounding villages, you will find wonderful wines including two little-known wines Kujundzusa and Trnjak which are amazing. Other local wines are Zilavka, Vranac, Simun and Posip.
Just thirty minutes away, the beautiful Makarska Riviera stretches between Brela and Gradac.  It offers many incredible beaches, fragrant pine forests, glistening turquoise sea and lovely quiet bays. Baska Voda is a small charming village 9km north of Makarska and just south of Brela. Once a humble fishing village, Baska Voda’s beaches, pine woods and natural setting have made it very popular for seaside tourism. Brela and Baska Voda are two of the prettiest beaches on the riviera and they are the closest to the villa.
Makarska itself is built around a deep, sheltered bay with the dramatic rocky heights of Mount Biokovo as a backdrop. Makarska town enjoys an excellent nightlife and some amazing restaurants. Some typical dishes are the delicious Bikovo cheese and ‘Kastradina’ which is a stew made with dried and smoked lamb, mutton or goat meat. Makarska boasts a fabulous, palm lined promenade with cosmopolitan cafes, bars and unique boutiques. You can dine waterside around the harbour watching the luxury yachts bobbing in the water.  There are many boat trips to the magical Zlatni Rat beach in Bol on Brac Island and Jelsa on Hvar. The delightful main square of Makarska Town is overlooked by the Baroque Church of St Mark and several elegant palazzi built by wealthy local merchants. The square is full of open-air restaurants and cafes and the daily market behind the church sells fresh local produce.
The magnificent Biokovo Mountain is 36km in length, dominating the skyline of this part of Dalmatia. The Biokovo Nature Park has stunning scenery, wild horses and goats, horned owls, grey eagles, serpent eagles, the remains of old settlements, alpine plants, forests and wild flowers. At 1422 metres, Vosac is the highest point where you will enjoy spectacular views across to Makarska, the island of Brac and behind it, Hvar. The recent Skywalk Biokovo is a thrilling attraction at Ravna Vlaska, near Vosac, where you can walk along the glass-bottomed platform 1228 metres above sea level. It extends out 12 metres into the sky.  Guests staying at Villa Lorelai can easily enjoy the delights of the historic towns of Split, Omis and Trogir. The Cetina river is also fantastic for a day out. You can zipline across the river, kayak, swim, picnic or raft.
