Villa Valerija I Croatia
Holiday Home Rental Description
A cutting-edge property finalised in 2021, Villa Valerija I is mere steps away from the astonishing Adriatic Sea, lending you a holiday home of serenity and luxury. We know that when you’re away from home, it’s crucial to maintain an elevated sense of being at home but better, which is why this property has dotted the I’s and crossed the T’s when it comes to some of the most crucial details. There’s an infinity pool for those refreshing and energising morning dips, a Jacuzzi and sauna for relaxation, outdoor covered seating to enable you to take in the boundless blue of the sky and sea and all the mod cons you require to ensure that your holiday is as easy and breezy as it can be.
Villa Valerija I comes complete with floor to ceiling windows and sliding doors which maximises light and ensures that you can enjoy the views even when indoors. Fancy staying out of the mid-day heat? No problem – all that evocative beauty can still be absorbed from inside. Despite the decadent, old-world setting, the property itself is utterly modern, and boasts a dining room to seat ten guests, outdoor covered patio for alfresco dining opportunities stocked with a BBQ, and a seating area to enjoy heightened views of the lush surroundings, whether you’re an early bird who prefers to take in a sunrise or a night owl who wants to look out at the stars.
The property is clean, crisp and beautifully structured, and also set out to be a perfect social environment to gather groups of friends or families together. With four bedrooms complete with double beds, paintings and flowers, and five bathrooms, there’s plenty of privacy. There’s also a lovely living room complete with a view of the pool so you can all enjoy dinner together. You’ll also find a kitchen, laundry room and living room. The furnishings, though colourful, are tasteful enough not to compete with the splendour of the surrounding nature beyond.
Set on an elevated hill and complete with private parking and lavender gardens, you can keep your eye on the lovely local area of Rogoznica, a tiny village that also draws tourists. It’s ideal for its calm sea waters and for being close to Sibenik and Split, as well as the UNESCO town of Trogir. Villa Valerija I is very close to Rogoznica, a village that despite its small size, knows how to draw in the tourists. That may be because it’s perfectly situated between Sibenik and Split, as well as Trogir, a town that is registered with UNISCO. Croatia captivates many with its beautiful blend of old and new – it’s a charismatic old European city that has always sustained popularity, but was bolstered by the filming of HBO’s hit series Game of Thrones.
Romantic, ethereal and majestic, Croatia draws couples seeking hedonism, families longing for culture and friends high off adventure. Beginning with Rogoznica itself, it’s nestled on the very edge of the Dalmatian Coast, and forms part of a deep bay sheltered from the wind with very gentle seas. As an appealing old town, the pace of life is slow and gentle, allowing days to melt down lazily like ice-creams. You might want to while away a day at Zecevo Beach, or enjoy the Lavender labyrinth (which is exactly as it sounds). Rogoznica has an interesting past – populated as early as 1390, in 1518, many inhabitants bolted from the Turkish army. As such, this area is renowned for sanctuary and safety. Warmest in July and August, rain is unlikely, making this the perfect place to enjoy those cooling sea breezes and quieter way of life.
If you wish to explore further afield, you may wish to try Sibenik, known as the gateway to the Kornati Islands. As well as being sumptuously beautiful, Sibenik is renowned for its love of music, particularly its tradition of “Klape” evening choirs which run from June to the middle of September. The history and culture that abound here are appealing to many. Despite its prettiness, Sibenik also has a hint of the formidable, it’s surrounded by four fortresses and you can visit many churches and religious buildings, including Sibenik Cathedral St Jacob, whilst meandering down narrow streets and winding staircases. There’s certainly something of the fairy-tale about Sibenik.
Close by, are two national parks, Kornati and Krka, one of which can be accessed by sea and one by land. With 249 neighbouring islands, this destination is dreamy for sailors. If it’s excitement you’re seeking, plenty of festivals take place here, including the International Children’s Festival in June and the Salsa Beach Splash Festival. But there are festivals to cater to all taste, covering jazz, animated film and the countries ancient past.
Split is another commonly visited Croatian city and its second largest. Built for the Roman emperor in AD 305, Split has bounced between many owners before retaining independence. There’s much to do here particularly if you have a taste for history and culture. You might choose to explore Diocletian’s Palace or the Saint Domnius Cathedral. Spending time relaxing or reading at Bacvice Beach is also appealing and art lovers will enjoy the Mestrovic Gallery. Of course the bustling waterfront of Riva is a must-see for its slice of life appeal, and there’s also plenty of parks, churches and yes, more museums and beaches to enjoy. If you really want a taste of the old Split, you can take a tour of the historic sites by foot.
Finally, take some time to see Trogir if you want to take in a splendour combination of Romanesque, Renaissance and baroque styles. Castles and cathedrals abound, but if you want to take things up a gear, you might like to rent a jet-ski as you explore pristine waters.
