Villa Valerija II Croatia
Holiday Home Rental Description
For those that like the idea of being the first to experience something truly novel Villa Valerija II, a mere walk away from the sublime Adriatic Sea, is the ideal villa. Perfect for families or large groups of friends, the property was completed in 2021 and boasts beautiful sea views. Located near the tiny town of Rogoznica, the area is ideal for calm waters and shielded bays, and is also perfectly poised as a gateway between popular tourist destinations such as Sibenik, Split and the old town of Trogir.
We know that the details make all the difference and Valerija II holds everything you need for the dream holiday home. Its many luxuries include a heated infinity pool, Jacuzzi, sauna, outdoor seating area and covered patio, and floor to ceiling windows and sliding walls so that you can enjoy those resplendent views. As well as being a striking design feature, the walls and doors serve a practical purpose – they enable guests to experience optimal light.
With a fine eye for style, Valerija II is moderately decorated whilst still combining tasteful combinations of quirky colour so as not to detract from the surrounding natural beauty. You’ll find an open plan dining room, able to seat ten, an outdoor covered patio for further dining or conversation complete with a BBQ, and a separate seating and relaxation area for those who want permission to pause.
The intelligent design sees Valerija II sat on a raised hill. Not only does this intensify the views, but it also enables guests to make use of private off-street parking, and wonderful lavender gardens on high terraces. The villa itself contains two levels, an upstairs area containing four double en-suite bedrooms and a downstairs living area with kitchen, living and dining rooms, a laundry room and a wellness centre (this is where you’ll find the sauna and Jacuzzi!)
Valerija II is close to the beach, and local supermarkets and restaurants. Whether you choose to explore the local area or just want to enjoy your hidden paradise, you’ll find that you can socialise, relax or adventure at your own pace and in your own way. Croatia, with its boundless natural beauty and old world feel, is a dream destination for many, and you’ll be able to enjoy your own little corner of this fantastic country. You’ll definitely have heard of Croatia, but you might not have heard of Rogoznica, a small but mighty village that serves as a serious slice of Croatia, whilst also being a bit of a tourist draw. There are many reasons for this. Firstly, many are drawn to the experience of a ‘slice of life’ destination and Croatia’s remote and small villages are a wonderful way to dive into authentic Croatian life.
Secondly, Rogoznica is ideally placed between some very popular Croatian destinations, Sibenik and Split. You can also visit UNISCO registered Trogir. For those that may want to explore further afield but want to return to a placated base, Valerija II makes the perfect place.
Croatia’s popularity stems from its uniqueness – it’s physically beautiful both naturally and architecturally and full of sublime romance and a sense of swashbuckle. It’s always been admired by travellers, but no doubt it received a bolster from HBO’s series Game of Thrones, much of which was filmed in Split and Dubrovnik.
Rogoznica, where Valerija II is nestled nearby, is positioned at the edge of the Dalmatian Coast. Its nearest sea is calm and gentle, making it suitable for families, and its bay is sheltered from wind and weather.
The allure of old towns is often the pace of life – there is almost no concept of time, something that many of us in the world are no longer accustomed to. Nearby adventure can still be had – you can spend some time enjoying the lavender labyrinth, a maze of exquisite lavender, or relax at Zecevo Beach. Rogoznica is known as a place of sanctuary, and in modern day times, that’s exactly what it will be for your party.
As a gateway to further exploration, there’s Sibenik from which you can explore the beautiful national parks of Kornati and Krka. Kornati can be visited by sea whilst Krka is best explored by land. Renowned by sailors, there are over 200 islands, most of which are unpopulated, to take in. Sibenik itself is a lively destination closely affiliated with music, especially the tradition of evening choirs known as “Klape” which you can enjoy from June to the middle of September. As well as a taste for music, there’s plenty of history, culture and yes, beauty.
Bounded by four fortresses, there are many restaurants, churches and other buildings of interest, particularly for those who want to dive into the historic heart of the city. A must-see is the Sibenik Cathedral St Jacob. Sibenik offers a familiar feel to Venice with its charming sense of claustrophobia as you wind your way through narrow streets and down tiny staircases only to be thrown into a spacious square. You’ll also find plenty of festivals taking place here. Make sure you look at what’s on at the time you’re visiting. Whether you like jazz, salsa, animated films or a touch of history, there’s something for everybody.
You might also want to visit Split, Croatia’s second largest city. Again, beauty, history and culture abound here. There’s the stunning Diocletian’s Palace or the Saint Domnius Cathedral to visit, but there’s also the beautiful Bacvice Beach. Art lovers can explore many galleries including the Mestrovic. For those who enjoy people watching or getting a sense of the pulse of the city, Riva waterfront is the place to go.
Lesser known to many, but absolutely worth a visit is Trogir, a UNISCO registered site. There’s something of the romantic fairy-tale about Trogir owing to its cathedrals and castles.
