Villa Kymo Cyprus

Luxury Villas
| 4 Bedrooms|

Rental Description

In an enviable spot, moments from dazzling Fig Tree Bay, this villa is fresh and airy with an amazing outdoor space. The keyhole-shaped pool is shimmering turquoise – jump in and escape the Mediterranean heat. Infinity style and bordered on both sides with plants and trees, the poolside is dotted with sunbeds, and there’s even a stunning woven rattan pergola with cosy cushions. This villa’s pool is one of the closest in proximity to the sea in the whole of Protaras.
The exteriors of the villa are in cream with a charming terracotta roof, and there are dazzling panoramic views of the Mediterranean Sea from the villa. With its modern white interior design with touches of peacock blue, Villa Kymo perfectly embodies a Mediterranean villa. Step through from the terrace into the spacious living room with cityscape art on the walls and a pale grey sofa that is peppered with zigzag print cushions. Here, guests can make use of the widescreen satellite television on a cosy evening.
Matching armchairs provide additional space to sit by the elegant pale wood coffee table, and triangle pendant lighting hangs from the ceiling, adding depth to the space. Open plan and breezy, the kitchen is designed all in white and is fully equipped for whipping up culinary masterpieces.
Or, for those who are more interested in barbecues, there’s a stunning outdoor kitchen where you can grill to your heart’s content. There are several dining spots around the property, from the dining table indoors to alfresco poolside dining on the terrace and shaded seating under the parasol. The bedrooms at this villa are decorated in muted tones that pop against the crisp white walls. Eye-catching grey bedframes are dressed in fine white linen and purple throws. There are two double rooms and two rooms with twin beds, so the total capacity is eight guests. One bedroom is on the ground floor with an attached ensuite, so this could accommodate holidaymakers with accessibility needs. Accessories add charm and character, such as rattan lampshades. The twin beds are adorned with cheerful rainbow cushions, while vintage art is placed upon the walls. This villa enjoys an enviable location just 50m from the famous Fig Tree Bay in Protaras on Cyprus. Peaceful and private, the villa is in a central spot close to lots of amenities, lively bars and internationally recognised restaurants. This area on the eastern coast is a little less known than most major holiday resorts in Cyprus.
In this area, you’ll find Fig Tree Bay, named after its single pine tree and known for its impressive array of watersports. Try out kitesurfing, water skiing and paragliding here – take your pick from the aqua-based adventures on offer. The beach has dramatic Hellenic tombs that rise above it and superb gleaming water for swimming. Kapparis beach is a beautiful and unspoilt beach with sugary soft sand and crystalline sea just five minutes’ drive from the villa.
Alternatively, visit the spectacular Nissi beach, which is also not too far from the villa. This beach boasts swirling shades of blue and green sea, gorgeous white sand for peaceful strolls along the beach and superb photo opportunities. You can also take part in watersports here such as windsurfing, as well as scuba diving. The colourful coral in Corfu is incredible and showcases marine life in its natural habitat.
Cyprus is dotted with vineyards, pine trees and wildflower-filled meadows. The coastline is adorned with dazzling white sand beaches and impossibly blue water, while there’s hiking, museums and ancient ruins to explore inland.
A day trip to Paphos is a great way to understand Cyprus’ history and culture – the island is home to one of the most ancient civilisations in the Mediterranean. With well-preserved tombs, Roman ruins and mosaics to discover, there’s so much to see here. The Tombs of the Kings, interestingly, never involved royals but were named after how grand the underground chambers and tombs were.
In Paphos, why not visit Aphrodite’s Rock, the spiritual home of the Greek goddess of love and beauty. Aphrodite is said to have been born of the sea foam in Paphos. Swim around the rock three times you will be blessed with eternal youth, true love, beauty, good fortune and fertility according to ancient mythology…
Cyprus has delicious and diverse local cuisine – the best way to start is with a traditional meze platter. This way, you can try out lots of different local dishes, such as atelia – pork cooked in red wine – and dips such as tahini, taramosalata and skordalia. Of course, Cyprus is where halloumi originates, grilled or barbecued to perfection. For dessert, tuck into some baklava.
The island is blessed with many natural wonders, such as Larnaca Salt Lake, beloved by migrating birds and made up of four salt pans and home to flamingos and many types of shrimp, the salt pan features in both Muslim and Christian lore. In summer, when the salt is fully dry, visitors can see the salt span across the horizon, and the sunsets here are dazzling.
