Villa Jakayla is a brand new Junior Villa within the stylish resort of Aphrodite Hills near Paphos, Cyprus. This charming holiday home from the Village Square, with plenty of amenities and places to eat. Additionally, though the villa itself is private and features its very own pool, guests can meet and socialise with other families within the complex. Swim in peace and serenity and take a refreshing dip to cool off from the summer sunshine.
The villa seeks to harmonise and bring together all the elements. From the villa, guests enjoy a stunning view of the sprawling golf course and the soaring mountains in the distance. There are also many communal pools including an infinity pool encircled by sculptures, not unlike the nearby Sea Caves. Top up your tan on the sunbeds and take a refreshing swim as a family. The exteriors of the villa feature lots of exposed brickwork and irregular tiles that make up the terrace.
There are three charming bedrooms – two doubles and one with twin beds. Dressed with fine linen and luxurious quilted duvets, the twin beds can be transformed into a double by zipping them together. Floor to ceiling windows allow plenty of natural light in, but the handy shutters can be closed at night. Chic framed art and colourful scatter cushions add charm, while an hourglass carved bedside table is a unique touch. The bathrooms have a built-in shower and are decorated in soft tonal greys mixed with natural wood.
Step through the French doors to discover the eclectic living room with fresh white walls, interesting fibre optic lighting and a luxurious chocolate brown leather sofa to unwind on. Alternatively, curl up in one of the matching circular armchairs. The modern fireplace is perfect for chillier evenings, while the fluffy cream rug provides a touch of Scandinavian hygge.
In this area, there is a circular glass dining table with space for six people – alternatively, you could dine out on the terrace. Warm wood frames the sliding doors, while the art in the hallways adds a homely touch.
Moving into the sophisticated kitchen, decked out in cream and equipped with everything you need to make home-cooked meals or experiment with Mediterranean cooking. There’s a coffee machine, large American fridge and even a garlic press. The location of Aphrodite Hills could not be more convenient! Paphos International Airport is just 15 minutes away, and you can enjoy the peace and tranquility of Cyprus’s south west corner with all the unspoilt attractions and culture it offers. The resort slopes down toward the shimmering waters of the Med, providing stunning views from the villas and PGA National golf course.
The closest attractions to Aphrodite Hills are Pissouri Beach and Village. They avoid being over touristy even in high season and offer a chance to see the traditional character of Paphos; one all too often missed by visitors to the island.
There is also the beautiful, child-friendly Bonamare Beach. Aphrodite Hills offer a shuttle to and from the beach, meaning you can enjoy a cocktail from the beach bar without having to worry about driving back.
Pathos old town stands as an internationally recognised site of historic and archaeological importance. The Ancient Greeks believed Aphrodite rose from the sea at Paphos, and many ancient sites, castles, and traditional villages exist in and around the town, making for convenient day trips. This has earned the entire town a place on the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage List.
