Cliffside hideaway Villa Bluebell is a luxury five-bedroom villa with breath-taking views over Mykonos’s famous coastline. Part of a secluded complex, the Greek villa is a self-contained holiday in its own right with a private sun terrace dotted with chairs and loungers and an inviting pool. It charmingly fuses traditional Greek architecture with light, contemporary furnishings.
The typically whitewashed facade and vibrant blue shutters of this villa complement the unique artistic identity within. The colourful rooms are designed and decorated by renowned interior designer Alberto Pinto and feature wooden beamed ceilings, bright walls and bold murals. There’s a dining area with a large wooden table, seating eight, and a comfortable sitting room with a flat-screen TV, which is accessed under a striking archway.
At Villa Bluebell, you have the choice of five decadent bedrooms, sleeping 10. All rooms are spacious and include hard-to-leave beds and plenty of storage space. Towels and toiletries are provided, and there’s Wi-Fi and air conditioning throughout the villa. There’s also a modern kitchen which continues the home-from-home theme with a dishwasher, oven and fridge.
Outside, you’re greeted by the glistening pool and tranquil garden area, with beautiful cane furniture set under a shaded pergola and sun loungers by the infinity pool. Swim to the water’s edge, and you’ll be rewarded with those panoramic views over the sea below (also spectacular by sunset). With a shaded dining table and BBQ, you can enjoy your meals al fresco too.
The villa is about a 15-minute drive from Mykonos Town, where there’s historic Greek architecture, white sandy beaches and local tavernas for you to visit. Perfect for families, friends and couples alike, the villa also boasts a private dock and sea access, 36,000 metres of peaceful gardens and onsite management. Oh, and did we mention the 24/7 security, daily cleaning service and helipad?
The Greek island of Mykonos is a popular holiday destination for a good reason. Think soft sandy beaches and iconic landmarks including historic monasteries and churches. You can spend your days exploring the quaint villages dotted with unique shops, relaxing on the shoreline or dining at the restaurants and tavernas serving fresh seafood and other local delicacies.
In Mykonos Town, a 15-minute drive from Villa Bluebell, you can visit Little Venice – traditionally Mediterranean styled houses, which sit on the shore. Take Instagram-worthy picture here or dine al fresco at on the restaurants and watch the stunning sunset. Other famous landmarks on the island are the 16th-century windmills and the church of Paraportiani, which are well worth a visit too.
For day trips, you can hop on a boat to Delos – a tiny island that can be reached from the port of Mykonos Town. Delos was a sacred island for the ancient Greeks, and you can see remains of an old sanctuary and a theatre on the island. On a boat, you can also take advantage of the quiet swimming spots and discover the pristine coves and inlets on the coast.
We can’t forget to mention the selection of beaches either. You’re spoilt for choice with a total of 25 to choose from in Mykonos. Popular spots include Psarou Beach – 400 metres away from the villa – and Elia, Mykonos’ longest sweep of white sand which is popular with families. There’s also Platys Gialos and Kalafatis, renowned for water sports and Agios Ioannis, a favoured spot for windsurfing.
