Of course, the pool area would be right up there even without the Ionian views, but the uninterrupted panorama really puts it over the top.
The mountainous northwest of the island offers plenty of opportunities to explore. In a little over twenty minutes by car, you can be gazing down at the remarkable sight of Navagio, or Shipwreck Beach. After a couple of days of poolside recovery, you might find yourself with enough energy to negotiate some of the hiking trails that lead you to scenic viewpoints up in the mountains.
