Buried deep in the traditional olive groves and tall trees, while overlooking the shimmering Ionian Sea, this villa is achingly beautiful. With comfortable living space inside and out, a sprawling pool terrace and an alfresco dining area, it’s perfectly set up for a small group escape to the Greek islands.
Days begin under the covered veranda, enjoying a plate of fresh fruit and a cup of freshly brewed Greek coffee, listening to sweet bird songs and the gentle ocean breeze rustling through the wild foliage. Swim a few lengths in the pool or while away the hours on a lounger – they’ll be no fighting over sunbeds here.
If you can peel yourself away from your peaceful oasis, it’s a three-minute walk down to the soft sands and shallow waters of Monodendri beach. When you’ve worked up an appetite in the sea, pick from a selection of waterside tavernas for a delightful lunch together. While the beach tavernas are closed in the evening, we recommend you nip over to Gaios for dinner along the pretty port as the sun goes down, just ten minutes away by car. Or perhaps you’ll enjoy a leisurely afternoon by the pool, before firing up the built-in barbecue a bit later on, sipping ouzos and playing a round of cards as you watch the meat sizzle.
