Nestled in a complex of villas on the small island of Kea, here days are spent outside, basking in the invigorating salty air. The sensational panoramas provide the perfect backdrop to your stay, whether you’re lounging under the shady pergola, tucking into a delicious meal alfresco or mixing up cocktails at the small outdoor bar. When you need a break from the sun, step inside to the bright living space, which is minimally decorated and filled with light. With white-washed beams, cream-coloured hues and lots of wood, the whole place has a natural, pared-back feel – we think it works perfectly with the seaside setting.
The location isn’t bad, either. Kea may not be as popular as some of the other Greek islands, but we’re fond of the small-town charm, local villages steeped in tradition and beautiful beaches. Guests will have access to a private cove under the villa where you can swim in the azure waves, while Xila beach is a twenty-minute walk. For quaint independent shops, grocery stores and traditional tavernas, head to either Vourkari, Ioulis or Corssia – they’re all about a twenty-minute drive away.
