The striking Villa Druzy is a fine example of spectacular, dazzling white Cycladic architecture. With rendered curves galore, arches, glimpses of stonework, painted beamed ceilings and feature fireplaces, the villa is absolutely fabulous. With five bedrooms, the villa sleeps up to ten guests in superb comfort. To top it all, the views from the various terraces and many of the rooms are truly sensational. The villa is located on the north of the island near Houlakia Beach and only a short distance from the very popular Agios Stefanos area. It is north of the main cruise ship and yacht harbour of Tourlos.
It is very easy to see why Mykonos is so popular with the rich and famous. It boasts a renowned vibrant, cosmopolitan party scene, it is profoundly beautiful, brimming with sugar-cube white buildings accentuated with vibrant blue doors and shutters, it boasts spectacular beaches and coves, it offers many label laden boutiques for those that love to shop, it has an amazing, diverse dining scene and the island is scattered with picturesque windmills and charming villages. Houlakia Beach is 6km north of Mykonos Town. The beach is divided into two parts, the left hand side with a beautiful cove and sandy bay and the right, stunning with its pretty pebbles. Houlakia Beach enjoys amazing sunsets and a beautiful panorama. Agios Stefanos is a fabulous, sheltered beach with a stunning sandy shore, calm turquoise water and a wonderful range of watersports.
Villa Druzy is very stylish with calm elegance and a lovely, seamless flow between the various spaces. The villa’s contemporary kitchen is a marvel with so much space and a central island. The dining and living areas are smart, sophisticated and beautifully furnished. Minimalist in design, you will find attractive lighting, blended soft furnishings and gorgeous mirrors. The spaces are drowned in natural light and all of the interiors are dazzling white canvases.
The five dreamy bedrooms consist of three masters with en-suite bathrooms and two exterior studios. All five are beautifully finished with exquisite linens, floaty curtains, beamed ceilings and access to terraces. The bathrooms continue the gorgeous curves seen throughout the villa and offer top notch fittings. You may find a lovely curved sunken bath or a top of the range power shower. All are wonderful spaces where you will want to linger.
The outside spaces of this Mykonian gem, are absolutely stunning. There are so many quiet corners where you can enjoy your holiday read and an ice-cold glass of wine or perhaps your morning cup of coffee. The views are sensational. You will be taking many photographs, particularly at sunset, that is for sure! The generous swimming pool is an absolute delight, the scene of much family fun. It is surrounded by loungers. There are sun drenched and shady lounge spaces plus the perfect covered and sheltered spot for alfresco dining. You cannot go wrong with Villa DruzyMykonos certainly adds a touch of glamour to the Greek Islands. This stunning island is brimming with gorgeous beaches, most laden with buzzy beach bars and watersports, nightclubs, a wonderful range of restaurants, cocktail bars, boutiques and delightful whitewashed villages. It is little wonder that it is a celeb mecca akin to Ibiza and Miami.
Houlakia Beach is a very pretty, tranquil spot, very close to Mykonos Town and minutes from the fabulous watersports and beach bar scene at Agios Stefanos. It is also close to the very popular paradise beaches of Ornos, St John and Psarou.
Tourlos, just south of the villa, is a small, picturesque coastal village with streets lined with white houses adorned with vibrant bougainvillea, other pretty flowers and freshly painted window frames and shutters. It boasts a magnificent port, the stop for many cruise ships, a smart yacht harbour and some charming shops, restaurants and bars. Many celebrities have chosen to build luxury villas here. The Chapel of St George Spilianos, north of the harbour, is beautiful. It is built into the cavity of a rock with a lovely ambience and where you can light a candle.
The island’s beaches range from wide sandy expanses full of loungers, parasols, watersports and beach bars to quieter coves. Elia, Ornos, Psarou, Paraga, Paradise, Kalafatis and Plati Gialos are all firm favourites. Elia Beach boasts Mykonos’ longest sweep of sand. The rainbow flag at the end of the beach marks its LGBT stretch of sand. You can catch water taxis from Elia Beach to Platys Gialos. Paradise Beach and Super Paradise Beaches are the home of some of the island’s most famous nightclubs.
As well as being a party lover and boutique shoppers paradise, Mykonos is a whitewashed, Grecian gem with lush hillsides waiting to be explored. Ano Mera is very charming and the Panagia Tourlaina and Paleokastro Monasteries are centuries old buildings worth a visit.
Mykonos Town is an enchanting warren of narrow lanes covered in bougainvillea. Lined with picturesque churches, quirky art galleries, chic boutiques, jewellery shops and charming restaurants, visitors love an afternoon meander.
