Staying in Puglia ensures you are never far from the Sea, due to its long, thin shape that forms the heel of the Italy’s boot.

Ugento is a town and comune in Italy. It has a small harbour, and is situated in the province of Lecce, in Apulia, on the Gulf of Taranto (Ionian Sea). In 1537 it was destroyed by the Turks, and under Byzantine domination it had Greek bishops.
