Sip a frothy cappuccino and listen to the breeze ripple through the olive trees, then, when the time’s right, plunge into the swimming pool and float about in the cool water.
Spend the afternoon dozing on a lounger or take the short drive over to the Baroque town of Scicli for its elegant, pedestrianised Via Penna and striking Palazzo Beneventano. If a beach day is on the agenda, head to Spiaggia del Palo Rosso and kick back on the golden sands as the glittering Mediterranean gently laps the shore. Feeling peckish? Nearby Donnalucata is an excellent choice for seafood eateries.
