Life in Tuscany is all about spending as much time outdoors as possible, so step through the shuttered French doors that lead out to the immaculately maintained gardens, where we find an inviting pool, a covered terrace with comfortable seating, and an outdoor dining area.
If you can pry yourself away from the pool, the village of Peccioli is a short drive away. The town reveals itself on approach thanks to its distinctive bell tower, dating back to the 11th century. Its medieval centre is characterised by a bustling piazza with winding cobbled streets and steep alleys heading off it. Furthermore, you can’t stop by this corner of the country without stopping by the Renaissance cities of Pisa and Florence, which are well within day-trip distance.
