Rent Villa Latte Meryta Tuscany

Between Florence and Siena, this villa sits in the heart of the Tuscan countryside, a short distance from San Gimignano. The natural bounty of Tuscany is quite literally on your doorstep as working olive groves and vineyards tumble from the hillsides around this villa.
The view from the terraces is of uninterrupted countryside and farmland on all sides, while a fringe of cypress trees keeps the swimming pool secluded. Dining can be taken on the patio, amidst the blooming botanica, perhaps courtesy of the built-in barbecue.
Inside, it’s a typically Tuscan fairytale, with a stone-vaulted ceiling in the pure country kitchen. The solid-wood breakfast table feels like generations have stood at it, rolling out fresh pasta. Two lounges provide spaces to unwind, one set around a grand stone fireplace with an upright piano in the corner, the other set around a big TV with book-lined shelves.
It’s the bedrooms that really took our breath away. Each one is considerately crafted to create a fairytale feel – four-posters with sweeps of linen curtains, antique writing desks sitting in the window, twisting wrought-iron bedsteads and some with slipper tubs in their ensuites. All of this beneath the stunning wooden ceiling of an 18th-century farmhouse. Fabulous.
