Encircled by stone walls and ancient olive trees, we think this is a magical retreat for a couple or a small family. Spend idyllic days lounging by the pool and admiring the verdant views. Grill some squid on the barbecue and enjoy with a glass of local wine, or use the rice cooker in the charming kitchen to whip up some dinner.
If you fancy a day by the sea, the pretty port town of Savelletri, with its beaches and excellent dining options, is just over twenty minutes in the car, while Capitolo Beach is 6 miles away. Or, explore the historic town of Alberobello, a ten-minute drive and visit the Museo del Territorio Casa Pezzolla, which recreates a bygone life in a trulli.
