This place has been recently restored to create a luxurious home–from–home complete with everything you could ever need for the ultimate self–catering stay. The kitchen has a traditional look and feel. Serving up a classic Tuscan aesthetic, the colour scheme is a medley of soft reds, yellows and browns. We particularly love the square, patterned tiles that decorate the walls – and the red gingham–cushioned dining chairs – it’s like a cosy little Italian restaurant!
The whole place is quaint and charming, but if we had to pick just one room in particular, it would have to be the living room. With traditional beamed ceilings and wooden floors, this room is brought to life by a luxurious Persian rug, a big, comfy cream sofa and a cushioned, rattan chair. The old fireplace is decorated with a selection of books (perfect if you love a good read!) and the sheer curtains canopy the windows.
You’re sure to fall in love with the interior of this home, but if you’re looking for somewhere to sit back, relax and soak up the Tuscan sun, it’s the outdoor space that will steal your heart. With a furnished terrace and gazebo area, as well as a large, private pool, whether you’re keen to enjoy some al fresco dining or you simply want to refresh yourself from the Italian heat, this place has it all. With panoramic views of the surrounding hills, there’s no better place to sit and watch the sunset, and for a spot of stargazing, be sure to retreat to the sun loungers by the pool. Swaddle yourself in a light blanket and lay back to stare up at the twinkling night sky.
Ideally located just 3km from the food shops in Poggibonsi, there’s also a great restaurant – La Sosta di Pio VII – just 2.6km away. This home welcomes you to enjoy a mixture of relaxing pool days and city trips. It’s also surrounded by a selection of vineyards, olive groves, woods and small lakes, making it ideal for mountain bikers and outdoor adventurers.
