Sometimes we need our holidays to be all about peace and quiet, and spending time together. This home offers that in spades – it’s the perfect space for a family or two to relax, enjoying each other’s company far from the tourist scene.
The villa can be found in a quiet area outside of central Alghero, surrounded by greenery. It’s close to some of Sardinia’s most beautiful beaches, and the city, so everything is within easy reach.
After a restful night’s sleep, sip coffee on the balcony and plan your day. Which of the stunning beaches will you visit today? We’re particularly fond of Le Bombarde, which is an eleven-minute drive away. Il Lazzaretto is another beautiful beach and is only twelve minutes away. Spend your day dozing in the sunshine or swimming in the clear water, popping into a beachside trattoria for lunch.
When you return to the villa feeling deliciously sun-kissed, let the kids tire themselves out in the garden – there are swings and a trampoline so they’ll be occupied for a while. Perhaps you’ll spend the evening in the centre of Alghero, where there’s a wealth of excellent restaurants and bars to choose from? Driving in takes sixteen minutes.
If a day in the sun has left you feeling languid, you might choose instead to make the most of the lovely villa. Pop to a nearby shop for supplies and fire up the barbecue. An alfresco feast of local seafood – perhaps with a glass or two of something chilled – is the perfect way to end the day.
