Situated in a quiet community and a short distance from the sandy beaches of seaside resort Esposende, this spacious villa features modern facilities and conveniences throughout and expansive grounds.
High quality furnishings and a warm décor make for a lovely family-friendly feel at Moradia Marinhas. As well as being so close to the coast, the villa also features a large private swimming pool and terrace, so you can go for a swim whenever you like.
The living area is generous in size and has a selection of comfortable sofas and chairs with a television, DVD player with a selection of films and a stereo system to enjoy when spending a relaxed evening in. Doors lead into a second lounge area with access to the outside space. There are even more seating options here and shelves full of books, making it the ideal place for some quiet reading time. The kitchen/dining area features an elegant table and chairs and a breakfast bar to the kitchen space. The fittings are of an extremely high standard and there’s a large fridge freezer to fill with lots of delicious local food and drinks. Also to the ground floor is a double bedroom with en-suite bathroom and doors opening out onto the pool area. The spacious twin bedroom’s doors lead to the front garden. Bringing out everyone’s competitive side is a games room with pool table and table tennis.
On the first floor is a master double bedroom with en-suite bathroom, television and private balcony overlooking the swimming pool and terrace area. The second double bedroom has an en-suite bathroom, as does a twin bedroom.
Outside is a covered area of terrace with dining area and built-in barbecue. The terrace continues beyond this and features a private and gated swimming pool with a selection of sun loungers. Also included within the extensive gardens are lawned areas with a five a side football pitch and a court for playing either tennis or volleyball.The resort town of Esposende is approximately 3 km from the villa and is the best place for doing your food shops as well as for enjoying days out. Its unique location on the Costa Verde sees the Cávado River estuary bordering the beach, meaning a range of water sports are on offer in Esposende. Try surfing or paddleboarding on the ocean waves or take a kayak down the river to see the natural beauty of the area in all its glory.
Take a nature walk down towards the river estuary where you can bird watch or take advantage of the wonderful coastal views from viewing platforms along the trail. If you prefer keeping your feet on dry land and like more energetic activities, go horse riding or mountain biking through the Minho countryside.
Within Esposende town centre are a number of cultural attractions to explore. The Maritime Museum tells the story of the community’s fishing heritage and Esposende Museum also features exhibitions detailing the town’s links to the sea. Igreja Matriz de Esposende is well worth a visit too, with the church featuring wonderful Baroque details inside and out.
Just under a 30-minute drive will take you to the town of Barcelos that’s famous for the national symbol of the cockerel and you’ll see ceramic examples of them almost wherever you go. There’s also a fascinating ceramics museum that will explain the legend behind these quirky town features.
