Located just 6km from Alvor, Casa Paulino is a rustic and spacious holiday home on the Penina Golf Course. This three-bedroom villa sleeps up to six guests, and and would be perfect for a family, group of friends or multiple couples looking to spend some quality time together in the glorious Algarve.
Casa Paulino has a fantastic outdoor area, with a huge and perfectly-manicured garden, ideal for outdoor play! A large sparkling blue private pool sits centre-stage, with plenty of indulgent sun loungers available for guests to relax on; top up your tan or dive into a good book with a drink in hand. The villa has two shaded outdoor dining areas; one sits underneath a lovely pergola at the side of the house, providing shade for those hot midday lunches. The other outdoor dining area is located on the terrace, and can be directly accessed from the living area, which looks out onto the beautiful garden.
Set on one level, this traditionally styled Portuguese villa features quality furnishings and oozes family charm; guests will feel straight at home as soon as they walk through the door. On the ground floor, there is a charming and rustic kitchen, featuring state-of-the-art appliances and a lovely breakfast area. The bright and airy lounge provides plenty of comfortable seating, an open hearth fireplace, as well as a snooker table and piano. Sliding glass doors provide direct access to the outdoor terrace, and fill the property with light. The generous living space flows seamlessly into the dining room, which seats eight – ideal for dinner parties!
The three bedrooms are comprised of one double and two twin beds; there are also three bathrooms, and all of the rooms are air conditioned. Each of the bedrooms offer stylish serenity and a private haven for those afternoon siestas, and for guests to rest and recharge after a long day in the sun! With the golf course on your doorstep, as well as fantastic facilities, Casa Paulino is the ideal spot for a family holiday. The beautiful marina of Portimão is an excellent place to visit, and this large city also provides plenty of shopping amenities and entertainment. Smaller Alvor is a pretty resort with a historic centre and a near never-ending sandy beach, while more excellent beaches can be found heading east to Carvoeiro.Located on the Pinina golf course, Casa Paulino has an ideal spot just 6km away from pretty Alvor, and close by the larger towns of Portimão, Carvoeiro and Lagos. The famous Pinina golf course is just 100m away from the villa, where guests will find shops, restaurants and spots facilities.
Calm and peaceful, the village of Alvor provides a pleasant contrast to some of the Algarve’s livelier resorts. It’s still a popular choice, with its beautiful beaches, riverside cafés and traditional feel attracting many visitors.
It’s well-located for reaching other larger cities too, with Portimão and Lagos the nearest main towns. If you did want to party hard, the resort of Praia de Rocha is around 8km down the coast. You will be able to enjoy a quieter evening down by Alvor’s harbour, where you will find some restaurants and bars – it’s pleasant indeed to enjoy a relaxed meal with friends and get to know the local cuisine in such a beautiful setting.
With its old city walls and castle, Silves was once the capital of the Algarve region, and reminders of its history are all around. It remains mostly untouched by the hand of modernisation, so it’s the place to go if you want to see Portugal is all about.
Silves’ centre is compact, with some cobbled streets and hills, notably the one leading up to the eye-catching red-brick castle. There are other sights to see too, such as the city gate and Ponte Romana Bridge, and guided tours are available. A covered market and plenty of cafés and restaurants make for pleasant places to spend some time soaking up the ambience.
If you are travelling to Silves from Portimão, around 14km away, you may be able to take a fishing boat tour from the harbour. These tours make their way up the Arada River, give you a couple of hours to see Silves, then return you to Portimão.
