Villa Aluguer Portugal
Holiday Home Rental Description
Superbly positioned on a hillside, on the east coast of Madeira in Santa Cruz, sits this glorious three-bedroom villa.
Lush foliage and bright bougainvillaea offer a cheerful welcome while inside whitewashed walls, exposed stonework, tiled flooring and comfortable furnishings create a tranquil ambience. In the lounge there’s a plump sofa where you can relax and contemplate the stunning sea and mountain views and a dining table, seating six people, for sociable evening meals. There’s even a fireplace for chillier nights. But when the sun is out you’ll want to slide open the floor to ceiling glass doors and breathe in the scent of pine drifting across the verdant hills.
Off from the lounge there’s a modern kitchen with bright splashes of red, kitted out with every modern appliance you’ll need for a comfortable stay including microwave, coffee machine and refrigerator. There also a small breakfast table, perfect for a casual bite to eat.
Wood-panelled flooring sweeps upstairs and through to the three bedrooms featuring double beds, and one with two single beds. Bedrooms are spacious, and minimalist in style but have their own sublime balcony where you can while away the hours gazing at the rolling mountains and turquoise blue ocean waters.
There are two pristine bathrooms on this floor, one with shower and one with bath.
Back on the ground floor, step outside onto the shady terrace where you can enjoy alfresco meals at the table. A neat lawn dotted with comfy furniture invites to to take it easy with a good book but when the light starts to fade it’s the place to enjoy a spot of stargazing through the garden telescope.
From here, make your way down some steps to the pool where you can bask in the sun on a lounger, go for a swim in the pool or simply be peaceful with a good book. This is a place where you can feel at home.
Although the villa is ideally placed for those who want tranquillity, it is also conveniently located within walking distance to a supermarket, several authentic restaurants and bars. And for further amenities, it’s just a 15-minute stroll to Santa Cruz city with its pretty seafront promenade, historic buildings and pebbly beach.Villa Aluguer is set in the family-friendly neighbourhood of Santa Cruz, one of the oldest villages in Madeira.
