Moradia Eira Portugal
Holiday Home Rental Description
Steeped in the rustic beauty and offering guests some of the most incredible ocean and mountain views in all of Madeira, Moradia Eira promises a luxurious and relaxing stay on this stunning Portuguese island. This two-bedroom villa accommodates up to four guests and comes complete with everything you’ll need to enjoy a holiday to remember.
Moradia Eira is set in a beautifully elevated position overlooking the ocean, in a tranquil and private location. Decorated throughout in light, natural tones, the interior is fresh, bright and airy, with sprays of exposed stonework, tiled flooring, and accents of quality hardwood. The living area is spacious and well-appointed, with a comfortable corner sofa, large flat screen TV and contemporary-style fixtures for that modern home-from-home touch.
The kitchen/diner is rustic in design, bringing to mind all the charm and warmth of a country farmhouse. It is incredibly well-equipped with plenty of food-preparation space, as well as high-end appliances such as an oven, fridge, microwave, kettle and toaster – and even a washing machine and dryer, allowing you and your guests to pack light and save room in your luggage for all those souvenirs! The addition of cookware, crockery, utensils and glassware, as well as a large wooden dining table, meaning that you’ll be able to rustle up family breakfasts or evening meals and enjoy them in style – simply throw the double doors open and take in the breathtaking views as you enjoy each other’s company in incredible surroundings.
Moradia Eira features two large double bedrooms, making it an ideal choice for two couples who are holidaying together or those with older children. A cot and highchair are available for the youngest guests, so whatever your group dynamic, it should be easy to accommodate everyone comfortably. The bedrooms are decorated to the same high standard as the rest of the villa, in neutral shades and with modern furnishings, providing a calm and restful space in which to relax and unwind. Wherever you are in the villa, the views are sensational, and the bedrooms are no exception – be sure to grab yourself a morning cuppa and step out onto your private balcony to take in the incredible island landscape. The villa also features two modern and stylish bathrooms, which is especially convenient for friendship groups holidaying together.
Moradia Eira offers plenty of outdoor space in which to dine and relax, including several seating areas overlooking the ocean and mountains, a fully-furnished, shaded lounge area, and a nicely-maintained lawn. The jewel in this property’s crown is perhaps its infinity pool, which is accessible by steps and looks out across the ocean. Moradia Eira is located in Ribeira Brava along the southern coast of Madeira. Meaning ‘wild stream’, this pretty town has plenty to offer in the way of cafes and shops and includes tourist-friendly facilities, including a sports centre that features football fields, tennis, squash and paddleboard courts, and a covered sports field for baseball and basketball.
The central beach is conveniently located near restaurants and bars and offers sandy areas as well as pebbled areas mixed with black sand. This man-made recreational area offers facilities such as children’s pools, lounge areas and changing rooms, as well as areas to play beach volleyball, football, and sunbathe. Ribeira Brava is situated close to the seaside town of Calheta, one of the island’s most historic and idyllic locations. The town is famous for its banana and sugar cane plantations and its vineyards, as well as for having one of the only golden sandy beaches on the island – making it a go-to place for tourists. The area features a modern marina, as well as being popular with those who love outdoor pursuits, including hiking, biking, surfing, kayaking, windsurfing, scuba diving and paragliding. It’s also one of the most fantastic spots on the island for whale and dolphin-spotting, and you’ll find plenty of places offering whale-watching tours and boat trips along the marina.
Contemporary art lovers will enjoy a visit to the Mudas Museum – and even those who aren’t will enjoy the views from the museum’s high cliff-top location. Here you’ll find a collection of contemporary Portuguese art dating from the 1960s to the present, although it’s worth knowing before you make the trip that the museum is only open Tuesday to Sunday. Another small yet interesting museum that is well worth a visit when you visit Calheta is the Sugar Cane Mill and museum – especially as entry is free! The museum houses machinery that was once used to process sugar cane, as well as a working mill which is still used to produce sugar cane honey today.
Once you’ve had your fill of beaches and sightseeing, head to one of the town’s unique bars or cafes, which include Pukiki Bar, the very instagrammable Sem Idade Cafe – famous for its rooftop pool, and Maktub Pub, which features a relaxed atmosphere, well-priced and delicious cocktails, and a beautiful sunset view.
